Please note that you have missed one crucial point of why Disney named 
the classics as "theirs" ,namely the story in the cartoon isn't the same 
as the classic, they have manipulated it and destroyed the themes, note 
Little Mermaid, the mermaid is supposed to kill herself, in Alladin, 
Alladin is supposed to have not one but two djinns one of the rings and 
one of the bottle/lamp,in Beauty and the Beast, the Beast is supposed to 
die of a mysterious illness or by longing of his heart for the girl and 
the girl's father is a trader with two other daughters not an inventor 
with one daughter, in Hercules, from what I recall, Bellerophon recieved 
Pegasus. The taint of Disney is so immense that some of the original 
versions of the stories have been lost, to be replaced by 
sugarcoated,dinseyfied versions.  I just had to respond, sorry!
