I have been told that Misty has specially requested people not to do
stories based on her world. Can anyone confirm or deny, preferably
with first hand information.
Rumor says it has to do with her editing a series of books of stories
based on her worlds and the threats on her life and her friends live a
few months ago. The threats were detailed in an open letter she
published. It was still up on the Firebird Music catalog the last time
I checked.
If anyone can confirm that she doesn't want fanfics then I think we
should honor the request.
They are her characters after all. If this is true, this could get WW
and the FFML in deep trouble, if we disobey her request.

Last I heard from the Arrows Online people, and story set in
not-for-publication fanfiction was to be in an alternate world where Kris
survived. As long as the sotry sticks to the ML (I think webpages count as
a type of publication) then everything should be alright. If you're very
nervious, check

for how to contact Misty. If you send a SASE and ask permission to write a
story to show some friends, word is she'll agree. The letter will be saved,
as a bunch of loonies decided her Di Tregarde novels were non-fiction and a
government conspiricy forced her to stop.

Beware of organizations that proclaim their devotion to the light without
embracing, bowing to the dark; for when they idealize half the world they
must devalue the rest.
