>From the Scriviner:
 Hello everyone! The following is my first attempt at 
a filksong (at least I think it's a filk in anycase). At 
the same time, it also serves as a teaser and the opening 
video to a soon to be released (note this is Scriviner's 
soon) meld, Magical Knight Evangelion Wing. I hope you like 
it. As usual, C&C, public and private (ebon@i-manila.com.ph)
is always welcome.

P.S. Although it seems that I packed a rather large number 
of scenes for such a short song, remember that so did the 
original Angel's Cruel Thesis. The cut scenes were only 
split seconds long.

<Black screen>

_Angels' voices rising in chorus

<A vague sort of light filters in revealing 5 massive 
silhouettes of what are probably mecha. In the foreground 
clearly seen are three individuals in elegant white robes 
trimmed in blue and gold and bearing staves. They are Guru 
Clef, Commander Gendou Ikari, and Dr. J (whose artificial 
limbs seem crystaline rather than metallic>
<slow close up pan of the three men's faces>

_Songs of battle are whispered on the wind
 
{Instrumental}

<The three raise their staves as one and there is a slight 
increase in the light, bringing some of the details of the 
mecha clearer, but there is a sudden overwhelming white 
flash and the screen is now totally white. The Magical 
Knight Evangelion Wing logo burns itself in dark letters on 
the white. The black lettering consumes the white as though 
it were burning through it, consuming it utterly.>


_Heartbeats, to measure the time

<cut scene: Trowa Barton, in a black robe holding up an old 
fashioned watch by it's chain as it swings like a pendulum, 
behind him is an ice field>
<at the word 'to' cut scene: Umi Ryuuzaki looking out into 
the distance where an island floats in midair. She is in an 
elegant deep blue dress standing on a cliff, the sea below 
her pounding against it, a fine spray in the air>

_It plays with no reason, it beats to no rhyme

<cut scene: A laughing Duo Maxwell in a plain looking 
coarse, brown tunic and breeches is sitting at a table in 
what seems to be a crowded tavern, playing poker with a 
number of large men who are laughing uproariously>
<cut scene at the word 'it': Hikaru Shidou in a red robe, 
smiling happily, standing in a forest clearing at mid-day 
surrounded by animals and birds>

_In the depths of your soul, no solace to find

<cut scene: Wu Fei wearing a black silk Chinese shirt and 
pants crouched atop a gargoyle on what appears to be a 
cathedral. It is night and behind him the hints of 
lightning flashes can be seen>
<cut scene at the word 'no': Asuka Soryu Langley in a gray 
leather apron, a short sleeved tunic and leather breaches 
wiping the sweat away from her brow as she stands inside a 
darkened smithy, the only light provided by the flickering 
red flames of the forge>

_Your heart longs to sing in chorus

<cut scene to a windswept canyon where a castle stands on 
one cliff. Looking out of a balcony is a smiling Fuu 
Hounjou in a beautiful green dress and holding a red rose 
in her hand>
<cut scene at the word 'longs' to the foot of the tower is 
Quatre Rebaba Winner in dark brown, looking elegant in his 
noble finery. He is playing a guitar, obviously serenading 
her and looking up at her in rapt fascination>
<cut scene at the word 'in' to a longer shot to show both 
of them and the entire tower>


_Black skies, clouds heavy and gray

<cut scene: A vast darkened plain. There is a plateau some 
distance away, low heavy clouds hang in the sky... every so 
often there is a hint of a lightning flash seen barely 
through the clouds>

_The shadows of war lie hidden away

<cut scene: On top of the plateau Hiro Yuy is in a tanktop 
and jeans looking sternly down at the plain. There are 
other figures with him, but they can barely be seen as 
anything more than silhouettes>

_In the harsh glare of light, the flame blossoms forth

<Focus on Hiro's hand as he raises it where an embedded 
circular crystal of pure white begins to glow.>
<cut scene at the second use of the word 'the' to a long 
shot of the plain again as a tremendous wash of light from 
Hiro's hand blasts away the shadows revealing a two 
skirmish lines below him, obviously ready for battle>

_And the skies' rolling thunder echoes

<cut scene now to a slow pan as the pure white light from 
Hiro reveals his companions. Standing next to him is an 
expressionless Rei Ayanami in a simple green robe. Behind 
and to his side are the other eight who were earlier shown. 


_Closer together the silence is muted

<cut scene to an encampment on the plain, far from the 
center of combat where the light from Hiro can still be 
seen like a beacon. Standing there is Relena Darlien in a 
magnificent gown fit for royalty. A circlet is on her brow 
and a guarded expression on her face. There is another 
person next to her, still half hidden by shadows>
<camera view shifts slightly as the person next to her 
takes a step forward. It is revealed to be Shinji Ikari, 
looking calm and dressed in regal battle armor, a huge 
straight-edged sword in his hand>

_The song awaits to be shared

<Shinji takes Relena's hand and kisses it, a smile is 
exchanged between the two before Shinji puts an open faced 
helmet on and what can be seen of his face becomes a mask 
of pure fury>
<the camera pans away from the two at the word 'shared' to 
the shadowed tent behind them where a smiling Treize 
Kushinada in an OZ general's dress uniform sits in an 
elegant chair and sips something red from a wine glass>

_One voice to start with, another to follow 

<cut scene to a close up of Hiro's face obviously shouting 
something, the camera starts to pull back almost 
immediately and suddenly a pair of pure white wings 
seemingly made of light erupt from his back and he lifts 
into the air.>
<As Hiro moves off camera, the view focuses on Rei as she 
touches a brown crystal similarly embedded in her hand, a 
wooden staff appears in her hand and she raises it as she 
leaps off the edge of the plateau>

_Your voices are now raised as one

<cut scene: long shot as both sides surge forward, Shinji 
at the forefront of one side fighting like a berserk, as 
trees suddenly shoot out of the ground around him and his 
troops>
<There is a quick series of cut scenes showing things 
happen to the other eight on the plateau. Trowa glances at 
the little watch he was holding earlier and smiles. Umi is 
surrounded by a spiral of water. Asuka is orbited by razor 
sharp metal shards. A ball of flames appears in Hikaru's 
hands. Wu Fei steps into a pool of shadows and vanishes. 
Sharp winds begin to whip around Fuu. Duo grins and simply 
vanishes from view. Quatre raises a huge scimitar in his 
hands and simply looks regretful.>


_Angels' voices rising in chorus

<cut scene: the battlefield erupts into chaos as normal 
troops, monsters, and giant mecha are locked in battle, it 
is almost impossible to know which side is which. None of 
the mecha seem to be the same as those from the initial 
portion of the intro. There is a pastiche of split-second 
cut scenes showing portions of this battle>

_Songs of battle echo in the darkness

<cut scene: Zagato a tear falling form his eye as he stands 
inside a dark cathedral, holding the still body of Princess 
Emeraude in his arms. Standing off a short distance are 
Kaji Ryouji, Rafaga, Alcyone, the adult Ascot and Caldina.>
<cut scene at the word 'in' to a darkened throne room where 
Treize is seated on the throne, smiling, showing him 
attended by Zechs, Noin, Lady Une and Misato Katsuragi>

_Burning passions, ignite the flames of frozen souls

<A quick series of cut scenes: Duo and Hikaru running down 
a sunny beach chasing each other and laughing. Asuka and Wu 
Fei standing at the table of a crowded tavern shouting at 
each other, obviously arguing. A library where Umi is 
caryring a tray of food to Trowa who is poring over 
numerous books. Quatre and Fuu standing on the terrace of 
the tower looking up at the night sky and holding hands. 
Finally a naked Rei and Hiro floating in some sort of 
glowing emptiness kissing each other.

_Hearts awaken and join the choir resounding

<Another quick series of cut scenes: A mecha, one of those 
from the intro bursting out of a volcano. Another erupting 
from the ground in an ice field. Another crashes out of the 
walls of a windswept canyon. A fourth rising silently from 
the streets of a dark city. The fifth flying out of the 
cover of a huge  verdant forest>

_Souls afire and none dare stand against it

<cut scene: the five mecha charging an unrecognizable sixth 
one larger than the five, behind them the sky boils blood 
red>
<cut scene again as the five begin to battle the one>

_One song rising, to claim the truth from heaven

<cut scene as there is tremendous spherical explosion where 
the six mecha battle occurs which whites out the screen>
<At the word 'truth' the white begins to fade to show 
Shinji Ikari's face smiling coldly. As the song fades out, 
he begins to laugh silently as he his face too fades to 
black.>
