Mizu:  Hello and welcome to the show.  In honor of our subject this
time, we've added a new readout to the Control Room, the WAFF-o-meter.
Much like a barometer, this will measure the intensity of the Warm and
Fuzzy Feeling content of the fic.  For example:

Hi everyone, hope you like my fic

Mizu: -gives us a reading of 1 out of 10 on the WAFF-o-meter.

A Ranma 1/2 Fanfic

Boggs:  He's a Nicaraguan-New Zealander!

Another Sunrise

Boggs makes the "vampire warding off the sun" gesture and hisses.

       Hi, hope you like my fanfic. It's very short but I'm proud of 
it.

Boggs:  I hope you like Mizu.  He's very short but...glub 
Water jets into Boggs face from Mizu's index finger.

       Akane sat on the roof looking at the moon. She stared up at the 
glowing
orb smiling inwardly thinking of the past days she's been looking up at
that silver sphere.

Mizu:  Then one day she thought..."Hey!, I could see it so much better
if I looked at night!

It was so beautiful, the moon's silent mystery. It was
always there, waiting and smiling down on her. 

Mizu:  Telling her, "Yes, you are the one true Moon Princess, destined
to right wrongs and triumph over evil!"

She had been sleeping all day so she wasn't feeling sleepy this
night.

Boggs:  Of course her father was starting to wonder why she was 
sleeping in a coffin these days.

"So beautiful..." she sighed.
       "Yeah, um, it is."
       Akane almost jumped at Ranma's voice, but she soon settled 
down.

Mizu morphs into Akane:  Pervert!  What are you, spying on me?
Cog:  The WAFF-o-Meter is now at 2.

Ranma
lied down beside her and said, "It's past midnight, whatcha doin here?" 

Boggs:  Yeah, that's his spot!
Cog:  "lay"

     Akane looked sideways at him and said, "I'm just looking at the 
moon."

Mizu (still as Akane):  Put some pants on, Ranma!

 "Oh." Ranma answered.

Mizu:  That guy is just so suave...

      A few minutes went by and Ranma suddenly said, "You really like 
the moon
huh?"

Mizu:  A master of the art of conversation.

     "Yeah, it's just so-so.."

Boggs:  It's so-so?
Cog:  Might be better written as so...so...

     "Beautiful." Ranma finished.

Mizu:  I understand it causes some people to be bad-tempered and
irrational.
Cog:  WAFF reading now at 3

 "Yeah. It just makes me smile and forget all my problems for once

Boggs:  O' course your only real problem is the one lieing next to
you.

      Akane sat up too and said, "Really? I didn't know you watch the 
sun rise,
I'd have thought you'd be sleeping till noon."

Boggs:  What, she didn't notice Ranma's actually a morning person?
I mean c'mon, just look at what he does before breakfast.  

       "The sun's gonna be rising soon." Ranma said.

Mizu:  Which is strange when it's 2:07 AM
Cog:  There appears to be a temporal discontinuity here unless the
pause in the conversation was about three hours long.

A small tear fell from Ranma's eye. And for once, he didn't
hide it from anyone. Akane squeezed his hand and felt herself welling 
up.

Mizu:  Would anyone like some sliced onion?
Boggs:  Rather have some lemon.
Cog:  WAFF reading increasing rapidly!  Now at 6.

        Ranma just smiled at her and hugged her as he whispered into 
her ear,
"Things will never be the same now, and I just want you to know that I
really care for you."

Mizu:  Go on...push her off the roof.  You know you want to.  
Cog:  WAFF exceeding standard parameters.  Reading 8.

       Ranma smiled broadly and said, "Don't worry Akane, there's 
always another
sunrise."

Mizu (morphs into Ranma-Chan and sings):  The sun'll come out!  
Tomorrah!
Boggs hits Mizu with hammer.  
Cog:  WAFF reading 10!  Danger!  Danger!

       Ranma looked at Akane as she disappeared downstairs and said, 
"Yeah,
there's always another sunrise for the both of us..."

Mizu:  "The two of us" sounds better to me.  

       "Oh well, now where's my 200 yen, daddy?" Nabiki said holding 
out her open
hand.

Mizu:  That's a heck of a family discount there, given her usual
prices.  
Cog:  WAFF declining to acceptable levels.  9 and falling.

       "AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Akane's 
scream echoed
throughout Nerima.

Mizu:  With Akane around, who needs an alarm clock?

       Ranma almost jumped and looked down at the pond. His pop and 
Mr. Tendo
were in the pool with signs in their hands that said, "We're just 
innocent
pandas!"

Boggs:  Hey, that's kinda funny.
Mizu:  However, I think that Ranma should start at the abrupt change
in atmosphere.  After all, you already had Akane "almost start" at 
Ranma's appearance.  

      Ranma just bowed his head in defeat, "When are they gonna learn 
when to
stop?" For once, Ranma didn't feel angry, he felt lighthearted. He 
smiled
when Akane came to his side on the roof and said,
       "Just wanted to put a scare in them."

Boggs:  Somebody's been slippin' Prozac into Akane's Gatorade.  
Mizu:  She does appear to have had a personality transplant.
Cog:  WAFF reading holding steady at 8.

     The sun shone brightly on two young lovers with their hands 
together
laughing.

Boggs:  Their hands are laughing?  Hey, what's that?
Both Boggs and Mizu look at the WAFF-o-meter which is glowing brightly
as it reads 11.  
Boggs:  It's!
Mizu:  Gonna!
Cog:  Blow!
The console contained the WAFF-o-meter explodes as Boggs and Mizu leap
away.
