Interesting beginning. You're still gonna have to set up more of a
conflict, though. As it stands it'll be over as soon as K1 shows up and
offers his kidney (or Bel heals Nodoka).

Well, looks like Gary covered all the grammar stuff...I'm not sure 
he's right here, though.  There's lots of opportunity for angsting 
for Ranma, Genma, and Nodoka.  And then, of course, there's what 
happens when Genma and Soun realize that the person who needs to be 
engaged to a Tendo is no longer Ranma...
