Of course his good intentions weren't very good and his bad intentions

can also recall that Hitler had a hatred of Jews.  These emotions of hatred are
ethnocentrism the centers of prejudice.  On the other side of the coin is love
and compassion.  These can also create problems in judgement as with biased
views.  Each person has their own personal struggle between the balance of
logic and emotion and there is no real answer to how a person should think.  I
am one who strives toward greater logic in though so as Spock in Star Trek
says, "The needs of the many are greater than the needs of the few."  Even if
the few includes me.  This is the product of logic, the mass killings of people
is not.  These are the results of twisted logic "clouded by emotions" as I so
say.  It is not of logical thought to kill another person who is defenseless or
who is not a threat.

It's perfectly logical to kill a defenseless and harmless person if
you benefit by that action.  Any action is logical if you just slot
in the right premises.

  The biggest problem I have with Gendou and SEELE is that they do not have
the right to make the decisions they do.  They arrogate to themselves the
right to decide humanity's fate by decisions arrived at secretly.  They
aren't even elected representatives with that mandate.  They do not inform
the world of the choices before them.  They and they alone decided.  This
is why I despise Gendou and SEELE.

I never said that SEELE is all that great of an organization.  As for Gendou, I
don't see him in any real position to stop the Human Compliment Project
outright.  SEELE has more power than Gendou and could easily remove him if he
doesn't perform to their wishes.  He does have the power to alter it and that
is what he attempts.  We can also look at the the Human Compliment Project as
this:  Judgement Day.  The symbolism at the end of End of Evangelion could be
seen as Judgement day where people are being separated between SEELE's and
Gendou's versions (Heaven and Hell) and they are merely carrying out the will
of God.  That's how I see it anyways.  In this case, who is God to say what
direction man should take?  He certainly wasn't elected to carry out 

God doesn't say what direction man should take.  That's a central
dogma in virtually all Judeo-christian sects.  After all, evil can
not be explained except to say that God does not remove the human
power to choose.
