This is an idea I posted to the list before, and while it generated a lot
of comments, no story came from it (I don't think).  So, I changed it a bit
to make it more believeable, and allowing for interesting retaliation stuff
from Ranma, etc.

I figured out a way for Akane to find out about Ryouga's curse without him
getting killed.

It would go something like this:

Someone, (probably Cologne, but possibly Ukyou) would come up with a way
for Akane to find out about Ryouga's curse without her hating him (so he
would have a chance at winning her so Ranma would be free).  Basically, it
goes like this...  Ryouga tells Akane that P-Chan was his pet pig (notice
the emphasis on WAS) that he could hardly ever find, even though they are
very close (that is why he is so ticked when Ranma calls him P-Chan).  That
is why P-Chan hated Ranma so much (being Ryouga's pet an all).  Anyway,
they met up when Ryouga was travelling and they happened upon Jusenkyou.
P-Chan drowned somehow in one of the springs and Ryouga went to save him.
Poof.  Instant curse.  Now he doesn't have to worry about turning into
P-Chan in front of Akane anymore.

Well, it's just an idea.  Any creative takers our there?
