Bad Day
"Goddess Relief Service... please hold."
Keiichi looked down at the phone, then placed it back to his ear.
He didn't know what number he had dialed, but it sounded interesting.
He figured it would be worth a listen.
"Thank you for holding, a Goddess will be with you shortly. Thank
you for using Valhallatech, your direct connection to heaven."
The phone disconnected, much to Keiichi's confusion. He placed the
receiver back in the cradle and laid down on his back. The grumbling in
his stomach constantly reminded him that no food had been ordered.
After calling twelve restraunts and a funky service of some sort, he was
still without sustanance. In other words, Keiichi was having a
particularly bad day.
The last thing he needed was someone to step on his face.
Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened. He was lying, staring at
the ceiling, listening to the rhythmic rumbling of his gut, when the
mirror above him began to glow. His eyes widened as a shapely leg came
right out of it. At the end of this leg was a petit foot, which came
down right in the middle of his face.
"Urg..." he stated as his nose was squished.
The person who did the stepping quickly lost their balance and fell
completely out of the mirror. She threw her hands out attempting to
catch her fall.
She caught it all right, thing is she also managed to bring her
palm right down on Keiichi's crotch.
Needless to say, he was not happy.
The woman rolled to the side as Keiichi cried out in agony. He sat
up and grabbed his sore parts, his eyes watering slightly.
"Oh! I'm sorry Mr. Morisato... I didn't mean to do that!" The
woman said apologetically.
Keiichi finally got his breathing under control, and looked at the
woman. She was very pretty, with long brown hair and mesmerizing sea
blue eyes. She wore a pair of loose soccer shorts and a white T-shirt
which had 'I kick ass for the Lord' printed on the front in black
letters. The first question on Keiichi's mind was, "How did you do
that?"
"What?" She asked.
He stared at her for a second, guaging her seriousness. Seeing her
simply stare back questioningly, he pointed at the mirror behind him and
elaborated, "How did you come out of there?" He knocked on the solid
glass to drive the point home.
"Oh! Well, you called us, so I came. I am here to grant you one
wish. Anything you would like." She smiled radiantly.
Keiichi had a usual reaction to such a statement, he looked at her
like she was crazy. However, she *did* just walk out of a pane of
glass, so maybe... "Do you have any credentials?" All certafied
Goddesses had a card or something, right?
The young woman looked a bit worried for a moment while she
searched her pockets. Then, her face lit up and she reached into her
shirt. She came back out with a white business card. "Here you go."
She said, handing it to him.
He took the proferred item and read it. It said:
"Belldandy
Goddess First Class Unlimited
Domain: Present - Medium: Reflective Surface
Current Project: Morisato Keiichi (wish)
ID #666-A"
Underneath there was a quote that said, "Turn around to test
intelligence..."
He bit and turned the card. On the other side it was plain white,
except the quote, "Turn around to test intelligence..."
Again he flipped the card. The same thing was there as was before.
He looked at the back again, confused. He glanced up at Belldandy to
ask what the trick was.
His jaw hung open as he saw her state. Her face was completely
red, as if she was holding something in. "What?" He wondered.
She lost it at that. She exploded into laughter, rolling about on
the ground clutching her gut.
Keiichi was not so amused. "Oh, come on!" He exasperated, "It's
not that funny! I mean, I didn't expect such a... mundane gag from a
goddess!"
Belldandy didn't buy it obviously, for she kept right on laughing
like a maniac. Just when Keiichi thought she would pass out, she sat up
and sighed. She wiped a tear away from her eye and giggled. She looked
up at him again. "You know how long it's been since I've had such a
good laugh?"
Keiichi didn't really care. He just narrowed his eyes. "I wish
you'd leave me alone." He said and looked away.
He didn't hear anything for a few moments, he turned his head back
toward her. Belldandy wasn't there anymore. Just like that she was
gone. "Damn shame," he began, "She was cute." He got up to search for
food again.
END
It was short, it was cute, and it was pointless. Comment away! Thanks
for reading, for what it was worth.... and Chris should be thankful I
didn't decide to do cameos ^_^...
