The main problem with a lot of the anime that makes it to American tv is that 
they take shows that are aimed at a target audience of 15+  and edit them to 
try to be suitable for children.  As a result many of the translations are 
somewhat... how should we say.. intentionaly butchered.  Unfortunately there 
is not much we can do about it, because television networks are going to do 
what they want, wether we complain or not.

We should at least be happy that they let Neflite (or should we say
"NEFLOITE"? :) die in the US version of Sailor Moon... :P And a bit
gorily, too... did they recolor the blood to green for the US version,
though? I've never seen the original release of that episode...

Intersting tidbit: At AWA, on the "Anime Family Fued Poll" (a way of
garnering answers for the event later in the con), when asked to "Name and
Evil Organization", 11 people said "The Negaverse", while only 3 said "The
Dark Kingdom". Eep. :)

Hey, mainstream isn't -always- bad... and Negaverse sounds better, anyway.
