OK! This chapter is *finally* more or less done. My pre-reader and I 
are still looking at some changes, but I figured it was in good 
enough condition to post now and revise later.

C&C is, as usual, requested. In particular, if you're a Washuu fan, 
let me know what you think of this. Even though I'm using the Tenchi 
TV continuity, I'm trying to restore to Washuu some of the complexity 
she lost in the transition from the OAV. Let me know how successful 
I've been at this.

And as I'm trying to work in some foreshadowing and red herrings 
here, I'm interesting in hearing what you think is going to happen in 
upcoming chapters, and why.
