I just read it Biles (very good, btw, although I'm not sure Kaneda'll

should be happy that some of my ideas parallel yours... I was secretly
planning to do the Chi/OP = True Power thing, but I'll have to figure out
Heh. This idea was one of the things that enabled me to make a mental
breakthrough on this story.
Oh well, you got there first!
At least I figured out how to give poor Fang-boy a better technique: the
Kyuukyoku no Bakusai Tenketsu (I *think* that's how it'd be written; I used
an on-line dictionnary). It should give plenty plenty of incentive to
learn to use th OP <maniacal laughter>.
Could you translate this for the Japanese impaired, such as myself?
It's supposed to translate as the "Ultimate Exploding Point Technique."
A version of the Bakusai Tenketsu which works on *everything.* It includes
a long-distance variation.
The technique works like this: instead of finding the weak point in a
stone, Ryoga manages to duplicate the effect on non-mineral materials by
forming a minuscule ball of super-concentrated ki and releasing it into an
object, producing a detonation.
"Detonation" in the middle of the air produces a rather powerful
distortion shockwave. Very painful if you get hit by it.
Hmm, well Ryouga might be able to learn it if someone explained how it
could be done to him, but it'll be really hard for him to manage. It is
completely unrelated to any of his techniques except the Shishi-Hokodon, and
it's inherantly opposed to that technique. The problem is that the Kyuukyoku
no Bakusai Tenketsu is by your description a technique that requires precision
and extreme control. Ryouga's Chi manipulating technique uses emotion as a
catalist, and is basically a very rough gather release technique. To learn the
technique he'd have to first learn a completely new Chi manipulating technique
that didn't use emotion as a catalyst. He'd have to study the technique
constantly to develope the kind of precision needed to do the technique. And
after all that work it would be a waste of time because a high precision
technique like that is almost impossible to do unless the practicioner is calm.
