Yes, I did read what happened to her here.
But with Mike Loader writing AKARI, it could have been much,

Seriously, though, in a very real way the scene is fairly kind to Akari.
Quick, clean death, and we get to see that she's settled down to a happy
life in a certain other universe that'll remain nameless for now
*coughtpohcough*. If anything, Muhoshin is the one to feel sorry for,
having just had the sum total of his alternate's years with Akari slammed
into his mind as he killed her. Ain't chronal radiation a bitch?
So cheer up, Sean. I freely admit to not liking Akari much. But look what
I tend to do to characters I _do_ like, such as Muhoshin and Kasumi. ;)
