Well, you can. I can spell someone's name whatever way I want. I'd just
be wrong. 
You're allowed to spell something in whatever way you want - you only
have to consider if you want to look like an idiot or not. If you don't
want to look stupid, you spell something in one of the correct ways. ^_^

Keener: Personally, I know my spelling is rather pathetic, but it's not
for fear of looking like an idiot that I strive to improve it. It's so
people don't missunderstand my fics, communication is the only thing
that's really important. 

Krudd: Of couwse, some of us communicate in diffewent ways, but as wong
as we awe undewstood...

Keener: With names though, it's more of a matter of respect. Do you
respect the characters enough to get it right? Or does it just not
matter to you? The work involved in a fic has a lot to do with the
presentation and whether or not it is well recieved. That's one of the
reasons I have such a small audience for my fics. Many of them are
written as they appear in my mind, then in a fit of excitement and
running on an emotional high...

Krudd: The mowon posts them without pwopewly checking them. 

Keener: <ahem> Thank you, I think. That's what was up with Craft 54 and
the synopsis I sent in to the moderators, I wanted to post the thing so
I could get some postive feedback before I left for AWA. Thank Goddess
