Hello Minna,
     
I have read SKJAM's comments concerning "Adventures of the Chibi-Scouts" 
part 6. I am not a member of the FFML but my co-author Doug Helm is as you 
probably know. It is still for me to respond.
     
First off since the c&c decided to entirely skip the first 5 parts and 
there's been no c&c by SKJAM on any of those other parts, I'd like to point 
out an important premise explained in part 2. The five Inner Scouts (yes 
we're using the dub) and the two cats were chibied into children. The Inners 
are 5 years old and the cats are kittens. Not only that but they discovered 
that the world has changed as well. People never knew them as teenagers. 
They are and are expected to be 5. Only the girls and cats know that they 
were ever 14. This is quite different than a fanfic like "Not Fair" where 
Ranma becomes 5 but the people around "her" know he's a 16 year old in mind. 
I can only recommend to read the other parts of ACS to find out more.
     
So with this foundation, I will address the comments made by SKJAM. There 
are 2 ways I can take this. The first way is that they were mostly meant in 
jest. Taken in that light, a few of the comments are humorous. A few go 
over the line IMHO but that would be a matter of taste. 
     
If these are meant as a serious indictment of Darien's and Chad's 
intentions in ACS, I can only pity anyone for thinking that. From Darien's 
POV, he knows that this little girl is the Moon Princess from the Silver 
Millennium. He knows now that she a 5 year old girl who's Sailor Moon and 
the reincarnation of his beloved. He had, therefore, taken on the role of a 
second father at this point of her life. Eventually we know, by evidence of 
Reenie, they will get together. In 1000 years, the age difference will be 
quite meaningless. However, for now he must wait. Also, for now due to the 
dreams in SMR where ACS is set, he's actively avoiding Serena.
     
Chad in ACS sees Raye as a little girl that Grandpa Hino has charged him to 
take care of as part of his acolyte duties. A girl he knows that has some 
problems as stated in the fic. He has worked with her and become a big 
brother to her. Unfortunate for him, a 14 year mind pops into that little 
girl. She perceives those normal parental type activities in a different 
way. She basically acts like a brat in Chad's eyes. So much so that she is 
punished. Not exactly an unusual thing to happen to a misbehaving 5 year 
old. There is much more to the story and 8 parts are currently released.
     
I will plead guilty to using the dub. In August 1996, when I came up with 
the ACS kernel, this was the best way to go. I still believe it is for 
various reasons. I do use the original in my other fics such as "Tales of 
Younger Venus". I do thank SKJAM for finding one wrong version of a word 
"furrowed". The other was already corrected in a later version.

Apparently from the tone of the comments, joking or not, SKJAM doesn't 
like our fic. Of course, he's entitled to his opinion. Poor Naru is 
obviously under the effects of Dark Energy so she's excused. ;)
