   From the comments I've received so far, I'd say so...

    Yeah, the plot's weak and it looks very hurried (especially afetr the
flashback), lots of missed opportunities, etc. but this only a teaser, so
tough.  I gotta get to school too, so...

It's a teaser.  You can get away with it.  Its only purpose is to get us
to want more.

    Happosai managed to shake the crowd, though, and quickly went to hide in
a small park.  When Ranma caught up to him, Happosai was already rubbing an
onion in his eyes, trying to get some tears for the Nanban Mirror...

What wish could he have made to bring them all to this world?

   Not merely a wish.  A Mouko Takabisha, a Shishi Hokodan, a mallet and
impacting the mirror at the same time Happosai wishes to get away.  Combine
with a cosmic coincidence in Randland (I was thinking the first time Rand
channeled at the Eye of the world) and Poof!

    He never noticed how much of a crowd he had gathered until he stopped.
Of course, much of that crowd consisted of Warders and students who thought
Ranma was an Aiel.

Uh...  Ranma looks nothing like an Aiel.  They might, instead, think that
Ranma was trained by them, for some unknown reason since Aiel do not train
non-Aiel.

   Of course.  Like I said, that was a sloppy teaser.

Great.  How's he going to explain this one?  Some of the Aes Sedai will
probably want to keep him forever to do research.

Hmm... Ranma's control of his chi might translate into control of the One
Power in this world.  Hmm...

I beg of you, though.  Don't make him fight Rand.  That would be a
devastating battle.  Only the Dark One would win since his enemies have
either killed or seriously hurt each other.

   I'm not fond of pitching the good guys against one another either, so
you're safe.

- Could Ryoga ever finish a game of Maiden's Kiss without bleeding himself
out (whether from the nose or from the neck)?

Highly doubt it.  Bleeding from the neck Ryoga can probably handle.  It's
the number of females (and the amount of female flesh exposed) that would
do him in.  Kame-sennin, from Dragon Ball, would have a grand time though =)

   The Maidens of the Spear don't play that "game" in any state of undress
I remember, so why would Ryoga be worried about "exposed flesh"?

- Can Mat's fox medallion counter chi?

Chi is essentially life-force.  The One Power is the force that drives the
Wheel of Time.  Hmm....  Maybe.  I would think that the medallion would at
least be a small shielding for him.

   Authoral creative license.  I just love it!

Randland?

   Err... sorry.  That's how they call the WoT world in the newsgroups.

It's not really the Nanban Mirror, maybe?  It just looks like the Nanban
Mirror but is really a ter'angreal that got lost in an experiment done
before the Dragon sealed the Dark One in his prison.

high level blade masters.  Let's say that none in the Tower are Lan and
Rand's equal yet... 10 Warders before Ranma starts pulling out his special

   Yu're being generous if each of them has a sword.  Remember that Warders
have increased endurance (not at Ryoga's level, but still)

- What happens if you mix Ranma, cats, Aes Sedai, Asha'man, cannon
fod<AHEM> people and *no* Akane?  Dumai's Well revisited!

Who against who?  Nekoken-Ranma versus Aiel, no problem.  Aes Sedai and
Asha'man, if they can keep cool and are fast in weaving a net, can capture
him.  Of course, the Asha'man are also decidedly deadlier than the Aes
Sedai...

   Ah...  But can the Neko-ken shred OP flows?

They get drawn to them as the Ta'verens need them.

before Ranma starts pulling out his special techniques.

Min has fairly short hair.  Maybe a little longer than Akane's.  They
would have to be there at least six months to a year before he does that,
assuming he never sees Min or Ukyo before then.

   Actually, I was referring to the similarities of their clothing choices...

Why?  I would say Mat is roughly Ranma's equivalent is personality (but
not action since Ranma does _not_ flirt with all the girls) and Nyneave
has yet to balefire him.

I sincerely hope not.  If she can hit Ranma with balefire like she does

Gholam.  Ryoga may be tough, but he can get hurt.
The only thing that affects the Gholam, so far as we know, is Mat's
medallion, which absorbs/removes the Power.

that it'd give up?

- Will the Aes Sedai ever get Ranma in a Novice dress?

Maybe for a time...  but definitely not permanently.
