Hello, everyone!

I've received a lot of requests concerning chapter 8. Here is the situation
as it stands now:

Chapter 8 is still being worked on and is nearing finition. It currently
stands at 105 Kb and climbing. *HOWEVER*, my writing time is being severely
hampered because I go to university full-time (that means a lotta
homeworks) and I have a 20 hour/week job, which doesn't really help my
schedule. That leaves me *very* little time for writing. Please understand
that I am still writing, but at a slower pace. The uncertainty of my
schedule is the reason why I'm not setting release dates. I'm too
unpredicable. Heck! If I were to go as far as I'd originally planned for
chapter 8, I'd easily have around 200 Kb, even more, probably.  (And that's
really scary, considering what I've done so far *is* around 200 Kb long...)

But here's a possible solution:

I'm considering releasing a shortened chapter 8 (one that would be -ahem-
only 85 Kb long - that's the only possible place to cut it without it
looking *too* weird) and keep the rest I've written so far and stuff it in
chapter 9. The drawback is that there won't be as much action in the
chapter, but you'd at least get something to tide you over while I work on
chapter 9. As opposed to what some of you might think, I will *NOT* give up
on Lines Of Destiny, as I'm way too fond of the story myself.

If you want the immediate release of a shortened chapter 8, tell me! If I
get enough votes for it, I'll release it, but if not, I'll keep going until
I reach around 140 kb and that could take a while yet.

PS - Jeremy Blackman, when are you going to release the next part of
Ta'veren 1/2?  I, mean, it's been a few years since the last installment
(even I'm not that bad).  If you don't post it, I'll be forced to realease
my teaser for a Ranma/Wheel of Time crossover...  I don't wanna do that
(mainly 'cause I wanna write one so badly - it's all Biles' fault; he's the
one who introduced me to WoT).
