This idea is in very very VERY raw conceptual development, but I 
still thought I could bounce it off you guys to see what you think. 
Basically, what i've got so far can be summed up in two sentences:

Yeah, it's raw, I'll believe it when I see it.

Rayne Saotome. Illegitimate son of Soun Tendo and Nodoka Saotome.

*BOING*?? WOW! That IS original!

Think about it. Nodoka would have gotten awwwwwfully lonely with >Genma 

gone off on a training trip for so long... 

That I can imagine, but she's so dog gone conservative, she probably 
would have a hard time keeping it in.

and Soun would likewise be bereft of companionship after his wife 
died... and the Saotome and Tendo families are VERY close... what 
if...

I like it! GO WRITE IT MAN! GO GO GO GO!

Just a crazy little thing I cooked up. I'm thinking of doing >something 

different with Rayne's first name {making it mean something >like 
'shame' or 'secret' or something} but you can see the >possibilities 
here.

Shame: Fumeiyo(dishonor) or Haji(disgrace)

Secret: Himistu

Your choice.

Boy, would Genma be MAD.

Yeah, but since Genma's been doing all that bad stuff to Ranma, I think 
it's a something that should whack him so hard, he'll won't want to get 
up from it. BWA HA HA!

Anyway, I like this idea alot! Go for it!
