"My love," came the tender whisper in response. He had waited for
this for so long; he had waited for her, this beautiful soul! And now,
again, for the first time in a century, he had found her. The sparkle of
those gray eyes, the tender depth of her black tresses, even the pallor of
her skin, it was sheer perfection. His eyes almost overflowed with the
blood tears as he took her hand in his and kissed the inside of her wrist
tenderly. "I've waited for you," was all he could think to whisper.

Slowly the horsedrawn carriage crawled it's way up the barren
mountain pass, the solitary figure of the coach driver apparent in the
cold, pale moonlight. He looked neither left or right, dependant only
on his familiarity with the road and the horse's instincts to make his
way. He knew that the moonlit night, with it's eerie silence and
long shadows hid many things from the eye...
However, the solitary driver was not bothered by the silent night,
indeed, it was the nights that he could hear that bothered him. No,
it wasn't the night, or the landscape with it's rough stunted trees,
their skeletal limbs reaching for the night sky, the obsidian backs of
the rocky crags and boulders... No, he thought, pulling his cloak
closer against a chill breeze, what bothered him were the dark
thunderheads he could see moving in, seeking to hide the full moon's
face. The Mountains were lethal in that sort of weather.
Suddenly, the peaceful rythem of the horse's hooves and the creak
of the tack was disrupted as the horses reared, snorting loudly.
Looking up, the driver saw the problem. Standing in the road before
him stood a cloaked figure, misshapen in his dimensions, his features
hidden in shadow. Slowly the figure walked forward, it's hand raised,
and approached the horses. Grabbing their halters in one hand, then
reaching to stroke their muzzles, calming them.
"Good evening, Sir," The driver said in a voice deep from the
grave, "May I help you?"

"No!" Ryoga cried, his voice feeble in the shroud of silence that
seemed to have fallen over the room.
"Ranma! Wake up, you stupid jerk!" he screamed as the creature
lifted him. His back arched as he pushed against its icy strength,
struggling futilely to get away. It bit into him, tearing open the
half-healed wound. Ranma and his father slept on, oblivious as the
creature began to feed. Ryoga's hands rose to tangle in its hair,
struggling to push it away...and then drawing it in closer, as he moaned in
acceptance and the beginning of an unholy rapture.

     She leaned closer...

*The monster raged. {SO CLOSE!! STRIKE! Give yourself the blood you
crave!} Resistance was almost impossible*

He whirled on her, taking her in arms she suddenly realized could
crush her, his eyes wide, his mouth open slightly, the fangs gleaming
slightly in the light of the room. Akari swallowed thickly. "Y-yes,
Ryouga-sama?

Natasha clutched the crusifix as she walked down the alley.
It was a risk, coming out at this time of the night, but she had
taken precautions. Before leaving her house she had eaten a
pizza with double garlic. She was wearing a crusifix and a scarf
with crusifix-symbols. She was still terrified.
