Seraphims Judgment
Part 5:
Of Teknos and Men

A Crossover between Teknoman and
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Written by Christan Clark

In one of the residential districts of Tokyo-2, several families had
heard of the general alert going on at Tokyo-3. Some paid it no heed at
all, a few felt concerned for their fellow man living underneath the
angels eye.

In one of the fewer larger homes, in what used to be called the Nerima
district, a single member of one of the families was packing. Nodoka
Saotome, also known as Teknos Katana, was packing to leave for a while.

"Okaa-san. Are you sure you really want to do this? I mean, theres
really no need for you to leave." A thirty-two year old Ranma Saotome
said to his mother, while being watched by eight year old son Takaya.

"Ranma, I heard from an old friend from the south that she requires my
assistance. I have never before left a friend in need alone and I do not
intend to start now." Nodoka said while packing the last few articles of
clothing she needed into the back pack.

She smiled, the lines on her face starting to show her age, "Besides, I
always had a small part of me that wanted to go with you when Genma took
you at six. I also hear that some of the sunsets are quite beautiful in
the mountains."

Ranma sighed in resignation and walked up to his mother, and embraced
her. "Ok, just make sure and take care. I dont know what Id do if..."
he was silenced as Nodoka interrupted him.

"Oh Ranma, just cause Im starting to get old doesnt mean I cant take
care of myself. And besides..." she whipped out her infamous katana out
of nowhere and swung it in front of her sons face. Just barely missing
the few hairs that preceded his face. "...your old mother isnt as old
as she seems." She ended with a mischievous smile.

Takaya stared in awe and shock at what just happened, while Ranma simply
stood looking bored. Being of half Teknos blood, Ranma mind-spoke to his
mother.

<Okaa-san. MUST you do that? Who knows what ideas Takaya might get?>

<All the better, theyd make great students for the Saotme Ryuu. Why
dont you start training your sons and daughter? Scared they might turn
out the same way you did?>

<What? Of course not! Its just that... the Second Impact and all. Not
only that, I keep hearing from some of those psychos that a third is
imminent.>

<Is that so? Well, how odd that the visit to my friend is whats also
going to prevent this so called Third Impact.>

<Okaa-san! You cant be serious. If there are big people behind this
whole thing like you told me. How can you hope to...>

<Easy.> Nodokas son glanced to her empty hand where her sapphire
teknocrystal had appeared and vanished again. <And I wont be alone. I
got help.>

<Something tells me I dont want to know.> Ranma said turning back and
getting his son. Who was still in awe of the expert display of sword
handling skills.

<Dont worry about it. You have a family to worry about now, so dont
waste your time worrying about me. Besides, you still dont have your
teknocrystal yet.> She poked.

Ranma had matured a lot over the years. Maybe a bit too much. <Well,
maybe hell grow up again, and much more than the other time.> Nodoka
smiled to herself.

She carried the pack to the ground where she met her daughter in-law,
Akane Tendou. Also known as Teknos Kanazuchi. She was talking with her
eleven year old daughter and other eight year old son.

"Oh. Nodoka-san. If I may ask, where are you going?" Akane asked,
turning her attention to Nodoka as her children followed suit.

"Going south for a while. Ill be back in a short while. Not too long."
She replied simply. She then felt both her legs being held through the
kimono. She looked down to see both Shinya and Miyuki were holding on.

"Oba-chan. Please come back soon." Miyuki said with evident worry.
Nodoka smiled, knelt down, hugged both of her grandchildren, and kissed
both of their heads.

"Dony worry about me. Just make sure and take care of your mother and
father. Ok?"

"Hai!" They both chorused in unison.

*************************************************

Turning around, she took a final look at her home. True, she was going
to miss everyone, but the thought of going out into the world again. Out
to where man once ruled, but now nature was more prevailent. Her
thoughts were interrupted as she felt something large and furry embrace
her from behind.
She sighed in exasperation and tore herself from the paws of a giant
panda.

"Genma, Ive made up my mind. Youre not going to stop me from
leaving!" She growled in irritation to her husband. In response, the
pand tried to look cute and hold up a sign that said,

"But how would I live without..." the sign was slashed in two before he
could finish it. Nodoka then held the sword blade upward and growled
even more.

"Just be thankful I forgave you for ruining ten years of our sons
life! Now if you would just stop hiding as a panda and take it LIKE a
man, I would be able to completely forgive you!"

Genma had somehow been able to grab a hold of some hot water and change
back. "Despite what you may think, I AM a real man!"

Nodoka casually moved the tip of the blade underneath his chin and
countered, "A real man wouldnt betray the trust of friends and steal. A
REAL man wouldnt sell his son for food! A REAL man wouldnt resort to
lies and petty theft! A REAL man would keep a vow for freeing him from
his masters hold over him." she raised the blade high and screamed, "
AND A REAL MAN WOULDNT LIE NOR HIDE FROM HIS WIFE!!!"

That sent Genma into a fit of pitiful crying as she pointed back to the
house with a stern face. Very much like a parent who was grounding a
child to its room. As he went through the gate, Nodoka couldnt help
but smirk. True, it was kind of mean using that old vow over his head...
but it did have its moments.

Later, on top of one of the higher mountains, she took another look at
Tokyo-2 as the sun set. It was certainly beautiful. What made it even
more wonderful for her was that her family was there. Even Genma. That
was the reason for this trip. If what the angel Seraphim had said was
true, her family was in danger. She was NOT going to let her family get
hurt.

A aura of blue light slowly engulfed her body. The light she was
engulfed in suddenly flew upwards and away from Tokyo-2. To where she
was needed most. The battle ground for the survival of the human race.

	Tokyo-3.

*************************************************

At that time, the fate of the world as we have known it was just about
to take a turn for the better. Zeruel, the most powerful of all the
angels, had a hold of three of the four guardians, the Evangelions. But
within the EVAs came from power to continue moving without the need of
the umblical cord. Two of the four had gone down this path. While the
third and fourth stood their ground and watched.

Within Unit 01, Shinji felt the mind that was not his own take command.
He reached forward and felt through the LCL, the owner of that mind. At
that time, he was getting weak. Before he lost consciousness, he
whispered a single word.

	"Okaa-san."

In Unit 02, Asuka was screaming in pain. But with the intrusion of the
second mind, something different happened. She remained silent and with
her eyes closed. Until she opened them again. Her eyes were colored a
vicious blood red and she growled when she looked at the angel. One
would think that she was a wild beast, ready to tear apart its next
meal. Grabbing the handles to the controls, she screamed inhumanly and
charged.

From the outside, Unit 02 tore itself from the spikes that held it.
Breaking them off, it advanced, while Unit 01 had ripped itself free as
well. Despite the attacks the came after, both EVAs tore off its arms
and broke all the others that tried to stab them.

From Toujis and Reis perspective, they both could do nothing but
stare in shock at the events. The angels AT Field had been torn apart
and it collapsed. Both uncontrolled EVAs advanced as the angel moaned in
pain.

Back in the central Dogma, Maya turned to her superiors.
"Synchronization in Eva Unit 01 has increased to 400% while in Eva 02
has increased to 200%."

Makoto turned,"Sir, Touji seems to be all right. Should we send out the
rescue teams?"

Misato nodded to her co-worker and ordered the retrieval of Unit 03.
Then, she turned to Shigeru, "Hows raising either Shinji or Asuka?"

Shigeru shook his head, "Its no good. The synchronizations shorted
out communications. On top of that, even if they were working, theyd
probably be too busy with fighting to notice us."

The crews could only look onward and hoped something positive would
happen.

When the angel tried to use another energy blast, its face was grabbed
by the hand of EVA Unit 01. Then, the Eva pulled upward and literally
ripped the face off the angel. From the cold air, mist started to appear
from the mouths of both EVAs. Both of them were growling,. Something
neither one was capable of doing.

Both uncontrollable EVAs suddenly grabbed a hold of pieces of the dead
angel with their teeth and tore the meat free. By then, Unit 00 had
assisted Unit 03 to its feet and witnessed the stomach wrenching
display like as if it were a train wreck. They couldnt bear to watch,
but couldnt look away.

Like wolves tearing apart a sheep, Eva Units 01 and 02 leaped into the
feast of tearing apart the angel. Even unto the point of the red
spherical heart of the angel was devoured. All the while, crews,
commanders, and other pilots could only watch.

The only man among them who didnt seem surprised was Kaji. Casually
watering his melons. He took a final glance at the show and shrugged.

<Guess Gendous little secret isnt a secret anymore. Sad really.
Asuka, Rei, Touji, and Shinji were good kids too.>

Within the Dogma, Gendou whispered to himself. "So, theyve awakened.
Hmm. SEELE is sure to find out about this. Looks like its about to
begin."

Surely enough, the heads of SEELE had discovered of the awakenings of
the EVAs. To say they were not pleased would be an understatement.
Lorenz had pointed out that the bell was not around the cats neck.
Meaning they had allowed Gendou a little too much of his own personal
will to control the Human Completion Project. Ikari was going to pay
dearly.

Unfortunately, the heads of SEELE were not the only ones to hear the
news. In a dark room of the head United Nations Building, several
members had also discovered the truth about the EVAs. Despite being mere
pawns to SEELE, they too had their own ideas. All they would have to do
is wait. And when that time came, SEELE would be shown who was truly in
charge.

*************************************************

Time: The following day.

After the angel had been completely devoured by Units 01 and 02, they
had suddenly powered down into dormancy once more. Unit 00 and a rebuilt
03 helped move the unstable EVAs inside to the loading bays.

Asukas vision was extremely blurred when she opened her eyes again.
She was in the hospital by the looks of it. She looked around to see
that she was basically alright. Save for the intense migraine she felt
from time to time.

She heard the door open to see Touji walk in. If there was anyone she
wanted to expect, it was Hikari. Surely enough, the friend in question
was right behind him.

"Daijyobu Asuka?" Hikari asked, making Asuka feel a little better
knowing that at least one person cared.

"Im alright. But... what happened? How did I get here?" She asked.

Touji answered her, "Well, when the angel basically had us all licked,
yours and Shinjis EVAs went berserk. You two killed it, but the EVAs
were pretty torn up from using that much power. Youve been out since
the incident a few days ago. When the plug was opened, you were sleeping
like a child in the seat."

Asuka looked back up to the ceiling. Wondering. Touji continued, a
little miffed, "Well, I suppose I SHOULD tell you about Shinji, but I
dont know why. Considering how bad you treat the poor guy," the anger
left him as he resumed, almost silently, "If only he were still here."

"What do you mean?" Asuka said turning her head.

"I mean... he... he vanshied. Right into the EVA itself."

End Chapter 5

[Warhammer returns.]
WH: First of all, Nodokas friend as she is called can either be
Seraphim or Seraphina/Teknos Arrow. You can decide for yourself.

Ranma may be out of character... if he were still sixteen that is. The
years has certainly turned him into a better man if you ask me.

Now, the Saotome children have the names of three out of the four
siblings in Tekkaman Blade. I simply gave their names to Ranma and
Akanes kids since were using Teknoman instead of Tekkaman Blade.
Takaya=Slade, Shinya=Saber, and Miyuki=Shara or Dagger, as I called her.

The vow that Nodoka is using over Genma is something that she recieved
for killing Happosai right after the Hammers Wrath story. Check it out
at at http://www.roninweb.net/Teknoman/.

I decided not to go into detail about Units 01 and 02 eating Zuruel,
the thought is sickening enough. Besides, I dont know if theres any
organs about the angels that I want to know about that exists for the
EVAs to eat.

Oddly enough, this chapter seemed rather short to me. I could be wrong.
Oh well, that depends on the reader.

Now, concerning the synchro rates on EVAs 01 and 02, I figure that we
dont need to inflate Asukas ego anymore than it already is. So the
truth is, Asuka is NOT better than Shinji. Which is about as obvious to
anyone who likes EVA.

The UN decides to take a break and start thinking on their own. Strange
things happen when you live long enough dont it? The puppets turn on
their master and all heck breaks loose. Or it will.

In the next chapter: Will Shinji be able to return from the void he was
sucked into? Will SEELE go to extremes against NERV for betrayal? Will
the UN reveal its own plans for the Evangelion? Can one Teknos and a
archangel be enough to counter BOTH corrupt man and fallen angels from
creating a Third Impact? Questions will be answered in the next chapter.
