My Path In The Art

Martial Arts is my way of life./
The way of the warrior./
The way of my ancestors./
Just the way it was meant to be.//

Perhaps the sooner I learn this,/
the sooner I cope with it,/
the sooner I deal with it,/
maybe the sooner I will feel free.//

When I come to terms with myself?/
Myself is what I can't describe./
Myself is not what I try to be./
Only within myself may I truly see.//

I am split between decisions./
Split between my soul./
Split between what I am./
Am I to be split between reality?//

Where am I to go?/
What paths must I tred?/
Why must they be rocky?/
How am I to cope?/
Who am I to be?//

A Fighter?/
A Lover?/
A Man?/
A Woman?//

I may never know.../
But, I suppose that's just me.///
