Hotaru: We don't have much to say about this, do we?
Sean: A little bit, actually. Plus I told you about the Earthlink
       problem.
Hotaru: No sweat. Just give Mr. Rao another account, like Doug
       has.
Sean: Or we could just post it to the FFML.
Hotaru: We *could* do that...
Sean: Anyway, this is the latest piece of genius from Anand Rao,
and one of the better Ah! My Goddess fanfics I've read. It
seems to be very much influenced by Geoff Depew's 'Scenes
       from a Life'.
Hotaru: Right. The format follows the same passage of time through
Keiichi's life, ending (almost) with him on his deathbed. And
       then a happy epilogue.
Sean: There's more to it than that, though. One of the things I
found very intriguing was the fact that Keiichi led a really
great life. Belldandy's leaving didn't send him on the path to
ruin or anything like that. He was successful, happy in his
work, had lots of friends...everything except love.
Hotaru: Speaking of which, did *anyone* believe Skuld when she said
that Belldandy had found someone else?
Sean: I don't think we were supposed to. It was what Skuld would
have said, regardless of the consequences.
Hotaru: And this all leads up to the fact that even though Keiichi's
life has been great, he makes the wish without any hesitation,
because to *him*, any life without Belldandy is a hollow one.
Sean: Oh yes, that reminds me.
Sean and Hotaru: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
Hotaru: *sniff* This fanfic reached out for your heartstrings and
never let go. You ached for Keiichi, and actually felt proud
that his love for Belldandy remained true.
Sean: It's a fine line to walk. Was he actually being stubborn? Yes,
but it's alright, because it's a pure, unassuming sort of
       stubbornness.
Hotaru: So, overall?
Sean: This fanfic kicked major butt. 10/10.
Hotaru: Now what?
Sean: Let's go bug Michael Yohe about Part 5 of Growing Pains...
