If any of you have been to my web page, you'll notice that there's several
fanfics there with only a prologue written and nothing else. (I'm working
on these, really!) One of these is a Final Fantasy 1/Ranma crossover
fanfic entitled 'Song of the Lute,' and chapter 1 is taking forever to
write. (Due to writer's block, mainly.)

However, more out of curiousity to see what people think of this than
anything else, I'm sending out the actual Song of the Lute poem that I
wrote for this story. You may be able to guess the meanings of some of the
rhymes of you know the first Final Fantasy game fairly well... :)

Song of the Lute
by Hunter Kid

Blue ends; and hang the dreary grey skies,
old friends, bound by blood ties.
New growth, trials of the sword;
ageless oaths, broken under fire's tor.
Rotting earth; young Prince, old strife left prone,
malevolent rebirth; stung since no life, dark stone.
Still wind, wild sea,
ancient kin, desert key.
Sword and magic; the Song of the Lute,
Orb ends tragic, foretold from old root:
'When the world is in darkness,
Four Warriors will come...'
