statement! If he doesn't make her admit to lying about the pigtailed girl,
his very outlook on/at life is at stake. Something that would make anyone
quite irrational, and more that a little headstrong and willing to let
chivalry slip.

That's not necessary. All he has to do is what he usually does: Not hear
what she said.

After all, he never attacked Nabs, did he? (And if anyone ever deserved
it.... :-))
