Wow. You're writing quite a story. I don't know if you plan to have
Ranma die, but if you do, you are at least setting it up well. When will
Ranma realize how much he has changed? A certain naivete and innocence
have been lost. The new Ranma is more purposeful, focused, grimmer, and
harder. This development raises a question in my mind as to his future
relationship with Akane. The Ranma who may return to Nerima will be very
different from the Ranma who left. How will Akane feel about him? I'm
certain that Ranma will still want to marry her, but will Akane be willing
to marry him? He will be a rather daunting, perhaps even frightening
figure.
A minor quibble. Ranma's thoughts during the fight seemed a mite too
elaborate. The fight was a major challenge for Ranma and I doubt that even
his reflexes and training would permit him to be so distracted, especially
since Ranma needed to concentrate on the artistry of the combat as well as
the actual fighting part of it.
