Hello!
This is my first fanfic. I got the idea pretty late at night and
couldn't sleep, so worked on it. I didn't want to send another Ranma 1/2
fic because I know that there are too many already, so I tried to cross
it with something different. Please read and tell me what you thing.
This is just the Prologue, more will be coming if I get a response.
C&C, flames, comments, etc. wanted.

Gosunkugi practically bursts with glee as he marks the chalk
symbols on the
circle in the middle of the room. Tonight would be the night when the
previous three
years of preparations would finally come to fruitation. He glanced again
at the book,
the book that had changed his life those years ago. He sighs as he
remembers
those previous three years, but as his eyes rest upon the clear gem in
the center of
the circle all thoughts of his many failures leave his mind. This, this
was his one
success. His one true work of magic, and tonight he would finally
complete it!
He makes the final markings and stands to admire his work. His
pulse is
racing and the world seems to be in sharper focus then ever before. He
slowly
picks up the spell book in anticipation, his thoughts focused on the
spell at hand.
With trembling fingers he turns to the page of the chant. The clock
chimes. On the
twelfth chime he begins to chant.
The candles on top of Gosunkugi's head begin to flicker as a
slight wind
whistles through the sealed room. The stone at the center of the room
begins to
glow with alternating colors. White, Blue, Black, Red, Green. As
Gosunkugi continues
his chant the wind intensifies and the colors blink more rapidly. The
wind has
steadily picked up and is now a gale. All the loose items in the room
are now being
flown around the room. Gosunkugi's clothes are whipping around wildly as
he yells the
last word, "Gnorthom!" The glow from the stone is now a solid yellow.
Slowly it
expands until the entire circle is covered in the golden glow. Suddenly
a shock wave
explodes out from the circle. A large book strikes Gosunkugi in the
temple.
The world goes black....
---The Mana Wars:Prologue---
He had many names: Grenath, Liko, Hiran, Thalif and many more,
but the name he
used most often was Rohaki. He knew not how long he had lain there,
feigning death,
for time has no meaning in the void between the plains. He was one of
the lowest of
the gods called plainwalkers. Others had worlds where mana was offered
to them on
silver platters. He had none. They could pick links to the choosiest of
spells. He
could not. They had everything. He had nothing. He had believed that
all his pains
and worries would be banished once he became a plainswalker. It turned
out to be a
hell to end all hells. He couldn't even pray for release, for one of the
blessings,
or curses, of a plainswalker is eternal life. He spat as he began to get
up to face
his eternity in hell. Suddenly a portal opens up beneath him. He
screams as he falls
into the
As the new plain formed around him Rohaki again wonders at the
formation of a
new reality. As the world distorts into clarity his mind snaps back into
gear. He
begins to ponder what these life-forms will look like. He ends this
train of though as
he realizes he does not have enough mana to change his form, so he
regains his
original mortal shell. Suddenly his senses overflow with energy as the
plain finally
forms and reality sets in. He could feel a abundance of pure strong
power here, and
he could sense few rivals, all weaker than him. He smiles. This time
his luck had
changed. This plain was ripe for the plucking....
As I said before C&C,flames, comments, etc. welcome.
