This is the draft of chapter 4 of Trapped. Trapped is the first
volume of an ongoing series (hopefully). I have written this in script
format, and I will rewrite the other chapters in this format while I do
some major reworking of them. Plot stays same; it's the some of the
dialogue and Akane's characterization that needs a lot of work. If you
don't like this change please tell me.

You do not need to read the earlier chapters to enjoy this (all you need
to know is Akane knows about Ryoga/P-Chan), but in case you haven't and
want to know wants happened:
Hi, I'm Tendo Akane, and I'm here to tell you what happened in the
previous 3 chapters that led up this point. If you read them, you can skip
this and go on to the story. If you haven't, don't bother. I've been
working with the hack writer to explain how the following events happened.
Well a couple days ago Ranma got Happosai angry again, who in his
act for revenge trapped Ranma and me in a magical prison. While there we
took the chance to talk about our relationship, and he even said he loved
me. Not Shampoo, not Ukyou, ME! Ranma and I tried several means to escape
the prison, and one of those attempts sped up our wedding plans from about
nine to fourteen months to today. When Cologne got us out, it was
determined Ranma was no longer fit to be Shampoo's husband. After that
Ranma and Nabiki handled his finacee problem, and I had a talk with Ryoga.
I'm very disappointed that he never told he was P-Chan, I had to figure it
out myself. That takes us to this morning. Ranma and I delivered wedding
invitations. Kuno confirmed what Nabiki told him about Ranma being his
pig-tailed goddess. After school Ranma and I were getting prepared for the
wedding. He didn't take long, so he got to greet the guest as they
arrived for the wedding. Now here I am about to enter the dojo, and marry
Ranma. I hope this time we succeed.

Chapter 4 - Meet Mr. and Ms Saotome.

Ranma and Nabiki made their way into the dojo. It was packed.
There were so many people here, that some of the guests could not get
seats. He also wondered how some of them got here. He didn't remember
greeting Pantyhose Taro nor the Gambler King at the gate, he didn't even
remember inviting them. He nervously made his way up to the minister. He
saw that Nabiki was greeting some of the guests, the ones most likely to
cause trouble. She handed each of them a card. Each of the recipients
looked rather upset as they read the cards, as each card offered a
personalized threat of what would happen if they stopped the wedding.
After the final card was delivered Nabiki signaled Genma to start playing
the wedding march on rented sound system.
Ranma thought: This is it.
The guests turned to see the door to the dojo open. Standing at
the door was Mousse and Akari, who started to walk towards him. Ryoga and
Ukyou followed them. Finally Soun and Akane walked down the isle.
Ranma's eyes lost focus on everything but Akane. "She is so
beautiful." was the only coherent thought he had during the time it took
Akane to stand next to him. He barely registered the minister's words at
the start of the ceremony.
Minister: Who is it that gives away the bride?
Soun: I do.
Soun bowed slightly. His voice was unusually calm.
Minister: We are here today to join this man and this woman in holy
matrimony. Brought together by kami, love, and... arrangement by meddling
fathers?
Ranma registered this phrase and looked at the minister with
bewilderment. Akane giggled.
Akane whispered to Ranma: Nabiki added some special touches to the
ceremonial lines.
Minister: Let no man, woman... beast... demon... nor any other living
or... unliving being?... ah... put asunder the bonds the tie this two
together.
Close friends and family either giggled, showed no reaction, or
rolled their eyes at the statements, extended family and acquaintances
looked rather confused. Ranma and Akane giggled, each hoped that they
will not have to test their marriage beyond the first two.
Minister thought: What is with these lines? This is the last time I do
personalized ceremonial vows.
Minister: Saotome Ranma, do you take Tendo Akane to be your lawfully
wedding wife. Through sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer,
to save her from KIDNAPPINGS?... ahh until death do you part?
Ranma: I do.
Ranma said that with a grin.
Ryoga I do.
Ranma's grin quickly turned into a look of shock and anger when he
heard Ryoga from behind him. He turned and scowled at Ryoga, as Akane and
Akari gave Ryoga the evil eye. The guests looked either disgusted, angry,
or confused. Ryoga shrank back .
Ryoga meekly said: Gomen.
The poor minister was about to loss his mind, but he carried on
after every settled back down.
Minister: Tendo Akane, do you take Saotome Ranma to be your lawfully
wedded husband. Through sickness and in heath, for richer and for poorer,
as a man and... a... WOMAN?... eh... until death do you part?
Akane giggled: I do
Akane saw Ranma scowl at Nabiki. Some of the guests were
completely confused at proceedings. If one was looking at Ukyou, they
would noticed that she mouthed an I do.
Minister thought: I hope they have enough sake for the reception.
Minister: It is time to present the rings.
Ryoga got the ring from Mousse and then handed it to Ranma, and Ukyou
took the ring from Akari and handed it to Akane. Ranma and Akane held out
the rings.
Minister: May the powers that be bless these symbols of the love these
two share to forever show the bond between them.
The minister turned toward Ranma.
Minister: Place the ring on her finger and repeat after me. With this
ring I be wed.
Ranma: With this ring, I be wed.
Minister: To love, to cherish, and to encourage without insult, from this
day forth.
Ranma: To love, to cherish, and to encourage without insult, from this
day forth.
Ranma rather meekly said with the without insult part as he gentle
pushed the ring all the way up Akane's finger.
Minister thought: Heh, that change was at least somewhat normal.
The minister turned toward Akane.
Minister: Place the ring on his finger and repeat after me. With this
ring I be wed.
Akane: With this ring I be wed.
Minister: To love, to honor, and to listen to him before malleting, from
this day forth.
Akane: To love, to honor, and to listen to him before malleting, from
this day forth.
Akane said with a similar note of meekness with her part of the
changed vow.
Minister thought: Just ignore it, and you'll be happier.
Minister If there is any one here who has reason for these two people not
to be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.
"Eep." emitted the minister as he noticed Ranma glowing with a
battle aura, with a look that said, "You speak, you die." Akane didn't
notice as she cast a similar gaze to the guests that said, "Don't you
dare." The guests were either confused, scared, or unmoved.
Minister: Ahh I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the
bride.
Ranma leaned forward and kissed Akane for what seemed an eternity.
Minister: It is my ahh pleasure to present Mr. and Ms Saotome. All right,
where is the sake. I need a drink.
Ranma and Akane finally ended their kiss.
Ranma and Akane: Yatta.
Nabiki: All right sis! Now hold that poss. We need to get a lot of
wedding photos.
Ranma and Akane posed for several photos with and without the
other members of the bridal party as various family and friends burned
through rolls of film.
Nabiki: All right let's get a couple photos of you two kissing.
They started to kiss again. Nabiki did not take photos though, but
instead pulled out a water gun from hiding and shot Ranma in the back of
the head. Several guests were shocked to see Ranma shrink and turn into a
girl. Ranma apparently did not notice until he heard a commotion from the
guests.

Akane's grandmother: What is going on here?

Various male students of Furinkan High cheered.
---
Kodachi: Where did Ranma go?
Kuno: The pig-tailed girl is the vile deceiver, Saotome Ranma.
Kodachi: What? How can this be?
Makido: You don't mean that she is really a guy?
Kuno: That is precisely what the great Kuno Tatewaki means.
Makido: Eh... Excuse me.
A green hue covered Makido's face, as he got up and ran out the
dojo.

Minister: Kami-sama! Where is that sake!

Ranma broke off from his kiss as he suddenly realized he was now a
she. She now felt the water that was in her hair and looked to see that
Nabiki had been the culprit.
Ranma: NABIKI!
Ranma leapt at Nabiki, but was held back by her collar by Akane.
Akane: Relax Ranma. It wouldn't hurt to get a couple photo of you in that
form.
Ranma tried to relax a bit, for Akane, and started to straighten
out her suit. She noticed the her wedding ring no longer fit, and put it
in her pocket. Akane noticed that several of the guests looked at Ranma
in shock and horror.
Akane: Oh.. Um.. This is still Ranma. He was cursed in China to turn into
a girl when splashed with cold water. He'll turn back with hot water.
This relaxed some of the guests, but Akane could tell they were
very uneasy.
Ranma: We'll get someone explain this. Can we get the photos done with?
Several more photos were taken, some with the wedding party. Then
another spray of water came from the guests. This time it hit Ryoga.
Everyone gasped in amazement either at the best man made best pig or the
person with the water gun.
Akane: Kasumi!
Kasumi: Gomen, I just wanted to do that for such a long time.
Ranma: Why didn't you?
Kasumi: I promised father I wouldn't tell.
Akane: Was I the only one who didn't know?
Ukyou: I didn't.
Akane: Why didn't someone tell me?
Kasumi: Because father saw him as a means to see how much Ranma cared for
you. If Ranma was jealous of P-Chan when he was with you, all was well.
If not, he had to come up with a plan to get you together again. I did
not agree with it, but I had promised.
Akari thought: I'm going to have a talk with that swine.
Nodoka thought: How much more of this mess is there?
Akane stared evilly at her father, but eased up at Ranma's touch.
Ranma: We should take some pictures with P-Chan here.
Ranma picked up P-Chan and handed him to Akane and posed for a
couple more shots.
Ranma: Have enough pictures yet?
Nabiki: I guess.
Gosunkugi: Um could I get one of you two kissing... as you are now?
Ranma and Akane glared at him.
Nabiki: Come on it'll be that last photo.
Akane: I guess.
Ranma thought: If Nabiki wants the photo.. She will get the photo. No
matter how much it would hurt me. Besides I really don't mind kissing
Akane.
Ranma kissed Akane once again, but for the first time starting it
as a girl. She felt a little self-conscious at first but soon went into a
passionate kiss as she noticed Akane had no apprehensions about it.
Ranma: You really don't mind the curse do you?
Akane: Nope. I feel in love with you, not your body. Besides it means we
can have lots more fun later.
Ranma stood there slack jawed.
Akane: Nabiki, why don't you start explaining... how unusual our lives
have been.

Nabiki, Ukyou, and Mouse began to tell the tale of Ranma's and
Akane's life. Most of the guests remained behind to hear about the
interesting life they led. Ranma and Akane were lead to the dining room
of the Tendo home. Akari took Ryoga to the bath so he could change back.
Ranma got a tea kettle from his mom and has changed back. Ranma and Akane
were now watching Nodoka and Kasumi set up a table with food for the
reception.
Tables and chairs had been set up outside. All those involved in
preparing the wedding gave thanks to Kami for the heat wave and pleasant
weather.
Ranma: This day seems so perfect.
Akane: Yes, it seems like some higher being planned on us being married
today.
Ranma: Yeah, well I thought the wedding would have more problems,
especially with so many uninvited guests.
Akane: You sound a little disappointed.
Ranma: Maybe I just wanted to protect Tendo Akane one more time. After
all I've got a lifetime to protect Saotome Akane.
Cologne now appeared before the newlyweds with Shampoo in tow.
Cologne: Congratulations Akane, who've won a very difficult battle for
Ranma's heart.
Akane: Um, thanks.
Cologne: For this victory I feel you have earned the right to be an
honorary member of the Amazon tribe.
Shampoo: NO! Akane deserve no such honor. Great-grandmother only make
tomboy Amazon to save face.
Cologne: Now calm down granddaughter, you know Akane has shown Amazon
spirit in the past. It is only fitting that the one who married Ranma be
an Amazon if not blood, then in name.
Shampoo only nodded her head in reply. Cologne turned to Akane.
Cologne: Welcome to the Amazon tribe, Akane.
Akane: I... I.. don't know what to say.
Ranma: This isn't going to come back and haunt us. Will it?
Cologne: The only thing that will be asked of Akane is that she tries to
live by our laws and if the Amazon tribe is in trouble, she will come and
help.
Akane: I don't know about following the laws, but if you need help, I'll
be there.
Ranma: No. We'll be there.
Cologne: That is all I could really ask for. Thank you.
Cologne bowed to the couple.
Shampoo: How? How did violent tomboy steal husband's heart? Shampoo love
Ranma. Shampoo make better wife than tomboy. Why Ranma marry tomboy and
not Shampoo?
Akane: Ahh.
Ranma: Shampoo, the reason why I married Akane is because I.... love her.
Shampoo: But Ranma loves Shampoo!
Ranma: I don't love you. I like you as a friend, but I do not love you.
Do you understand?
Shampoo: No. Shampoo no understand, but will accept. If Ranma love tomboy
more than Shampoo... Ranma should have tomboy.
Akane: Shampoo... ahh... I would like us all to be friends.
Shampoo: Shampoo no know if can be friends.... Shampoo will try.
Congratulations, I hope Ranma and Akane happy.
Akane: Thank you.
Ranma: Thanks.
Shampoo: But if tomboy no make Ranma happy, Shampoo will make tomboy pay!
Akane: I'll do my best to make him happy. You have my word on that.
Cologne and Shampoo bowed to the couple and returned to the dojo.

Akari sat in the changing room of the bath waiting for Ryoga to
finish getting dress. He finally finished with the exception of the bow
tie.
Akari: Now would you care to explain why you said "I do" during the
wedding?!
Ryoga: It's ah well ah... I...
Akari: You love her, don't you?
Ryoga could only nod, while Akari fumed.
Ryoga: I'm sorry. I haven't gotten over how I feel about her. I want to
put that behind me, but I can't. Part of me will always want to be with
her. But I want to be with you now. Please forgive me.
Akari: You're not using me to try and forget her, are you?!
Ryoga: No. I wouldn't do that. When you came into my life I still thought
I had a chance with Akane. I was torn between you two, I couldn't decide.
I felt drawn to you because you accepted me for who I was, curses and
all. Because of you, I could finally realize that Ranma and Akane belong
together.
Akari: And what about us?
Ryoga: I want us to be together. Please forgive me.
Akari: I.. I forgive you. Now let's return go back, my cute little pig.

Ukyou ran out of the dojo, followed by Konatsu. They ran past
Ranma and Akane while they went upstairs. Ukyou went into Nabiki's room
and locked the door behind her.
Konatsu: Ukyou are you all right?
Ukyou: No. I can't take much more of this. I... I want to go home.
Konatsu: Okay, we'll go home now.
Ukyou: We'll leave as soon as I get out of this damn dress.
Akane and Ranma arrived upstairs. Konatsu answered the worried
looks of the newlyweds.
Ranma: What's wrong?
Konatsu: Today has been too much for her. We'll be leaving in as soon as
she finished changing.
Ranma: Ucchan are you okay?
Ukyou exited Nabiki's room, her tux was put on in haste.
Ukyou: I'm not okay Ranma, and please call me Ukyou for now. That name
reminds me of too much.
Ranma: If that's what you want.
Ukyou: It is. I... I've got to go.
Ukyou ran out of the Tendo home, followed closely behind by
Konatsu.
Akane: I hope she'll be all right.
Ranma: I hope so to.

A couple hours passed as the guests listened to the stories of
some of the events that occurred in the past year and a half. Ranma and
Akane recovered a little from their encounter with Ukyou. During this
time some of the guests congratulated the newlyweds. After the stories
were told the guest proceeded to make for the food, and the dojo was
converted into a dance hall. The minister has been sent home, completely
drunk.
When the food table had been left decimated by the starving guests, they
either went to the dojo to dance or stayed at the tables outside.
The first dance went to Ranma and Akane. The guests watched as
they swayed to the music. They were not actually dancing, as neither of
them knew how. So, they tried to fake it. Afterwards the guests started
to dance. First among those on the dance floor were Nodoka and Genma,
Ryoga and Akari, and Makido and Kodachi. Ranma and Akane returned to the
Tendo dining room.
Mousse nervously approached Shampoo.
Mousse: Shampoo, my love. May I have the pleasure of this dance?
Sayuri: I believe that is Shampoo.
Sayuri giggled while she pointed at the purple-haired amazon.
Mousse pulled his glasses to his eyes.
Mousse: Sorry.
Mousse now actually wearing his glasses goes over to Shampoo.
Mousse: Shampoo, my love. May I have the pleasure of this dance?
Shampoo: NO! Shampoo will not dance with blind duck-boy. Shampoo rather
be killed by dog.
Mousse: But my love, I am training under Ranma so that I can earn the
right to be your husband.
Shampoo: Mousse have no right to be Shampoo's husband. Right belongs to
man who defeats Shampoo in battle. And Mousse is no man!
Mousse: I shall prove myself to you.
Shampoo: No way can duck prove he man. Duck only good for being dinner.
Mousse annoy Shampoo anymore, Shampoo cook Mousse.
When Shampoo finished her statement, she grabbed Mousse and threw
him through the dojo wall and into the koi pond.
Shampoo: What boys looking at?
Hiroshi and Daisuke: Oh... nothing.
Mousse: Quack. Quack.
Pantyhose: She has to marry someone who defeats her in battle?
Pantyhose asked them question to himself, but Cologne responded to
him anyway.
Cologne: It is the law of the amazon. Any amazon warrior defeated by an
outsider male defeat, must marry man who defeated her.
Pantyhose: Really?
Cologne: Yes, and in a hundred years only Ranma has broken that rule.
Pantyhose: So fem-boy turned her down.
Pantyhose eyed the young amazon, as he weighed the idea of taking
this amazon, going to an amazon village to find a bride, or just forget
it all together and wait for an opportunity to beat the crap out of
Happosai and/or Ranma.

Dr. Tofu did not notice the confrontation, he was busy as he tried
to build up enough and control to ask Kasumi to dance.
Kasumi: Hello Dr. Tofu.
Dr. Tofu: Ka.. Kasumi.. ah hi. Nice day isn't it.
Kasumi: Oh my, yes. A perfect day for a wedding.
Dr. Tofu's glasses started to get covered by steam.
Dr. Tofu: Kasumi.. would you.. ah like to.. ah..
Dr. Tofu said this as he tentatively stretched out his hand toward
the dance floor.
Kasumi: Dance? I'd love to.
Kasumi led the nervous doctor to the dance floor and began to
dance. The entire time Dr. Tofu barely remained in control, while Kasumi
smiled.
Kasumi: Thank you for the dance.
Dr. Tofu: You.. You're welcomed. Hehe..
Dr. Tofu's control snapped as he began to dance away merrily.
Dr. Tofu: She danced with me! She danced with me!
The young doctor continued his dance of joy through the dojo wall,
over the wall fence, and into streets. Kasumi frowned at the sight.
Kasumi: And he was doing so well.

As the evening progressed, many of the guests grew tired and were
preparing to leave. Soun decided now was the time to present Ranma and
Akane with their wedding present. He got all the guest into the dojo and
then brought Ranma and Akane in. Soun and Genma were standing next to an
object covered by a sheet.
Soun: May I please have your attention?
The guests quieted down.
Soun: This day has been a long time coming. An arrangement made nearly
twenty years ago, for the purpose of joining the Tendo clan and the
Saotome clan. And this joyful day has finally happened.
Soun cried tears of joy as Genma continued the speech.
Genma: Now that Ranma and Akane are married, they shall carry on the
Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. As shall their children.
Soun regained composer and then continued.
Soun: As the heirs to our illustrious school of martial arts, it is my
pleasure to give them the Tendo dojo and home.
Genma removed the sheet to reveal two signs. One stated Saotome
Dojo, and the other Saotome. Ranma, Akane, and many of the guests were
stunned. Soun returned to his cries for joy.
Ranma: The house is ours?!
Genma: Yes.
Akane: But.. how are we going to pay for the expenses?
Genma: Along with the house comes a small amount of money and some stocks
in Nerima Construction Industries. That should be enough to handle most
of your expenses for at least a couple years.
Ranma and Akane could not grasp the idea. The dojo and the house
belonged to them.
Nabiki: Of course you release that it's our turn to freeload off you
Ranma.
Ranma regained a few of his faculties and saw an opportunity to
get at Nabiki.
Ranma: Ah.. Soun and Pop can freeload, Kasumi and Mom do more than enough
work to earn their place, but you, what do you offer?
Nabiki: Well the meager amount daddy is giving you should last two years.
If you're in control, two months. Let me handle it, and you might never
have to work.
Ranma: Um.. right. Money advice.

The guests started to leave after congratulating the newlywed
couple. By eleven o'clock only a handful remained. The Saotomes, the
Tendos, and Mousse were cleaning up after the party.
Ms Hinako: This was a great wedding, to bad they're weren't many fights.
I wish you two all the best.
Akane and Ranma: Thanks.
Ms Hinako: Well here are the homework assignments for the next couple
days, as I don't expect to see you in school.
Principle Kuno suddenly appeared behind the child teacher.
Principle Kuno in English: Oh no. No.
Principle Kuno in Japanese: Homework will not do. They shouldn't be made
to do schoolwork on their honeymoon. And of course they won't be in
school for the next couple days.
Principle Kuno turns to Ranma and Akane.
Principle Kuno: You two are excused from school for the next two days.
But I expect you to be at school bright and early Thursday.
Akane: Thank you.
Ranma: Hey that's great. Thanks.
Principle Kuno: Good luck on the marriage.
Principle Kuno and Ms Hinako leave. After a few more well wishers
only the Saotomes, the Tendos, and Mousse remained. They had just
finished cleaning.
Nodoka: Well, it is time for us to go.
Akane: Go?
Nodoka: Since we can't give you two a proper honeymoon, we'll give you
run of the house for the next two days. We'll be staying at my house.
Akane: Thank you. And thanks for the helping with the wedding.
Nodoka: It was my pleasure.
Ranma: See you in a couple days.
Nodoka hugged Ranma and then Akane.
Nodoka: Goodbye.
Ranma and Akane: Goodbye.
Mousse: I guess it's time to leave. I'll be back Thursday afternoon to
start training.
Ranma: Sure.
Akane: Thank you for helping.
Mousse: You're welcome.
Ranma and Akane proceeded to say goodbye to their family and were
left alone at the house. They shut and locked the house up and went
upstairs to what used to be Akane's, but now Akane's and Ranma's room.
The sign was on the door, duck with Akane's name, on it has been removed
and replaced with a new sign with both their names on it and shaped in
the Yin-Yang symbol.

For those who want to know these are some of the changes planned for the
earlier chapters:
Time talking increased from 3 hours to at least 12 hours, and trapped in
gem changed from 1 day to 2 days. (Mostly do to comedicly long pauses.)
Ukyou knows Akane is pregnant.
Ranma's grandparents did show up. His grandmother is a quiet thief, while
his grandfather is a noisy thief.
