Actually the piece was really short. It showed Nene solving a
tricky cyberspace puzzle Sylia had created and Sylia recruiting her as
a result. I have no doubt that she had everything set up so that she
could monitor the prospectives and use the time they cracked into the
system (which was probably a seperate computer bought and programed
specifically for that one use) to research their background. There
were probably several possible applicants, and Nene was the first to
do the job. Naturally after that Sylia turned off the testing system
and disposed of it.
That's not the point. The point is that she showed her face, associated
with the words "Knight Sabers", BEFORE Nene agreed to join the team?
That's a monstrous security breach... and I can't make myself believe
she'd do something that stupid.
(Note : I have seen the video--I have the BGC screen saver, which
includes it--and am quite familiar with what it shows, mainly because I
put the information to use as background in a BGC 'fic that I was
working on some months back (That story, titled "Awakenings", will
probably be finished eventually, but it was treading too close to some
personal issues I wasn't ready to deal with yet. My apologies to those
of you who were following it; I know there were a few of you.).
Of course, these are just my opinions, but I like to think
that they are well-thought-out ones. Any other views on the
subject?
