Hey hey all,
To contribute to the concept of the Kuno's being what.. er.. I mean who they
are.
I consider the two, {tatewaki and kodachi}, to be two seperate cases.
Kuno Tatewaki:
This man is obviously NOT an idiot or of low IQ. From his blurbs of
shakesperean cliche's, he is obviously well-read and from his superior sword
skills of ancient origin and lineage, he is also well taught and a good study.
His determination and of course, immaculate dress definitely ousts the idea of
him being a dolt or a louse.
So why is it that the impression of him is that he's a complete fool? Well,
simple. And once again, I must break this into two seperate cases.
Case #1: His blatent blindness in regards to women.
He's constantly in love or searching for love. Some of us have been there and
it makes us blithering fools for a time as our feelings overcome our normally
rational minds. We don't see what we should see and go forward thinking the
world is all wonder and beauty while ignoring the foot in our face and the
foot in our mouths. ^_-
Case #2: His attitude towards others.
Well, he DOES come from an ancient family of noble upbringing. He expects the
respect from his peers that his family name, his achievements, and his skills
deserve. No one can beat him and so he plays the school bully. We have seen
people like this in NORMAL life, so this isn't so surprising of someone like
Kuno who can beat everyone and who is rich and handsome. He believes he has
EARNED the right to be the way he is. He isn't stupid, even if his belief is
not shared by all.
Okay, now his sister Kodachi:
Kodachi is much like her brother. The difference being, she will resort to
dirty tricks, but this isn't because she is evil or bent or on drugs.
I assume that since she was in an all-girl's school, that she has been forced
to be mean and survive or die. Much like Ranma and Ryouga in their all-boy's
school.
Of course, her odd behaviour could be the symptoms of stress and a lonely life
where no one would approach her because they are afraid of her strength and
her beauty. I mean.. most guys would approach a woman, but if she is very loud
or strong or exceptionally skillful, the males would think they are unworthy..
that could create a vacuum in her emotions.
Add in the fact that her brother is always after girls, she can feel extremely
jealous and so harbour dark feelings for her sibling and those he is with. And
perhaps for all of the female race. -_-
Her liberal use of drugs might actually be part of her personal life.. though
I have no solid comment to make on this. ^_^
