Bugs Bunny can tentatively be called Anime (it's "animated", isn't
it?), but What would you say if someone put a completely unrelated
original story here? It may be a good one; I may enjoy it
tremendously - but this is not the place for it. An original
story should be sent to a place that is specifically for that kind
of thing (I wouldn't know where that is, off-hand), not only
because here it would take up space that would be filled better
with some decent C&C (hint, hint!), but also because here it would
miss most of its intended target audience. People don't come
looking in an Anime forum for an original story. Those who are
here are looking for anime stories - they may be interested in an
original one just as much, but those who want to read original
stories *only* will miss out on it.

As I said in another debate, taking characters OOC to play with
them and make the story interesting is perfectly OK with me. I do
it, myself. What *does* annoy me is OOCness that exists because
tha author simply didn't bother to check his or her facts, or even
worse, when he or she realy wanted to write an original story, but
was too lazy to come up with the necessary characters and their
background. So they just slap the names of some Anime characters
onto unfitting protagonists and let them act out their story,
ignoring that they are violating all the characterization that is
associated with these Anime characters. That's what I am talking
about: when the characters have only the names in common with the
originals anymore, you might as well make it an original story in
itself, instead of taking the cheap shortcut of cashing in on the
already existing interest in the Anime characters.
