Don't take this as a flame, it's honest C&C...


Elsewords used to be one of my favorite Alternate Reality series.  Why?
because it was interesting, fun, and kept the true spirit of the
manga/anime very well.

Then Elseworlods 5 came out.  

It's not that it was a bad story, it was just that it was incredibly dark
(at least the draft I last saw) and didn't seem to fit with the theme of
the other stories.


However, I could let it go, and even accept it as a valid part of the
story, simply because well, it wasn't THAT unlikely a thing for Ranma to
come up with.

Elseworlds 6 however, has completely turned me off this series.  It IS
well written.  Hell, I laughed my ass off when I read it.  The problem
with it is that it doesn't even REMOTELY fit in with the theme of the
series.  Bringing in all that WoD stuff would have been OK, if you didn't
constantly break the 4th wall.  Frankl;y, as fun as it was, I would drop
it from the series, make it a seperate story, and come up with something
different for Ch 6.

Don't take this as a flame.  It WAS an excellent story and great fun to
read.  In fact, it reminded me of your Lemon Sherbert fic in many ways.
It had that smae sense of...insanity.  It just doesn't really fit in with
Elseworlds.
