Well, skeet-shooting is a sport with an obviously practicalapplication
given the Tenchi universe of bad guys.
One could argue that video games are an extention of
actual computer programming (having made that claim
myself from time to time while working at computer
companies...:-)).  Bowling, when it comes right down
to it, doesn't really contribute much with regards to
physical fitness or other applications.

OK, Washu needs some recreation from time to time.  I can
accept this.  However, if we go too far on this, we would
make the same assumption for football or golf or
sumo wrestling...or God knows what.  Just because she's
"20000 yrs old", doesn't mean she's automatically experienced
in every sport/recreation/hobby in existance.  Also bear in mind
she probably hasn't been on Earth for 19999 of those
years.
