Ranma 1/2
Everyone in Their Place
Prologue: Setting the Stage
By Jared Lewis

I'll be honest, I'm not a huge Ranma fan. I don't even buy new Ranma
anymore. But the OAVs gave me the inspiration to write a proper ending to
the Ranma 1/2 ANIME(No Akari and Konatsu!). Enjoy what follows and remember

"Shampoo! Come down hear for a moment." The purple haired Amazon came
down from her room to see what it was her grandmother wanted. "Shampoo,
you have a letter from China. I suggest you hurry up and read it because
it could be serious business." Cologne handed the letter to Shampoo who
promptly opened it and read. "It say, 'Shampoo, time has come for you to
return to China to take rightful place as leader of Amazon womans!'"

Since Cologne is Shampoo's superior (isn't she?), wouldn't this letter
be sent to her, and then she tells Shampoo it's time to return?

A
huge smile formed across Shampoo's face. "Aiya! Now Shampoo go back to
China with Ranma!" Cologne frowned a little at this. I think I'd better
go pay a visit to my future son-in-law, she thought.

Mousse barely dodged Ryoga's kick and countered with one of his own.
Ryoga leaped over it and got Mousse in the face with a left hook, knocking
out of the tree they had been fighting on. Ryoga leaped down and helped
Mousse up. "You're getting much better," he said. "So are you,"

How come Mousse was using his fists? Shouldn't a Mousse fight involve
lots of chains and knives?

Mousse
replied. "Lets head back. Its almost dark and Ukyo'll have our hides if
we're late." The two sprinetd back to their campsite to find Ukyo flipping
okonomiyaki on her portable grill. When she saw Mousse and Ryoga, she
smilled. "Hope you're hungry. I made a special sauce out of some of the
wild berries that grow out here." Ukyo, Ryoga, and Mousse had decided to
take a training trip in the mountains together. It had been Ukyo's idea,
and since the three had nothing against one another, the all decided it
would be a good idead. Ryoga needed to build up his speed, Mousse his
strength, and Ukyo needed improvement on her unarmed combat skills. Ryoga
could feel his stomach growling. "Ah, this looks terrific! Let me at it!"
Ukyo handing the two boys some chopsticks and they eagerly gobbled up the
food. Just like the two big brothers I never had, Ukyo thought happily.

Ryouga and Mousse I could see. Ukyo and Ryoga, sure. How can Ukyo and
Mousse be getting along so well, though? Mousse hates Ranma and wants
to kill him. Has he fooled Ukyo somehow, does she not know this? Ah
well, just as long as you promise not to set Mousse up with Shampoo.

I wonder if its too sexy, Akane Tendo thought as she looked at herself
in the mirror. She wore a black dress with thin straps. Her matching
black shoes were high, strappy sandals which showed her bright red
toenails. Her fingernails were painted to mimic them. On her face she
wore light pink lipstick and purple eyeshadow. "You look beautiful Akane,"

Actually, it is rather sexy. Why is she all dressed up like this?
Birthday parties (especially for teenagers) are usually more casual
affairs.

said a voice from behind her. Akane turned around to see Kasumi, standing
behind her, a pleasent smile on her face. "Kasmui, don't you think its
wierd that Ranma has never had a birthday party before? I mean, even if he
was traveling everywhere training his father should at least have had time
to..."
"Who, that old bozo?" Nabiki came to stand next to Kasumi. She wore a
magnificcent white dress, formal and demure. "Nabiki!" Kasumi scolded.
"Thats not a very nice thing to say." Nabiki closed her eyes. "Maybe not,
but I was _very_ thankful that I was able to go on that graduation trip and
get away from my crazy family."
"I've wnated to ask you, where'd you get the money to go to New York City?"
Akane inquired. With a wicked smile Nabiki simply said, "Oh, I have my
methods." Without our local pigtailed girl, it wouldn't have been
possible, Nabiki thought.

Ranma sat in his room, full of nervousness. He was 17, and in Spring he'd
start his senior year. But that wasn't the cause hof his aniety. In his
hand was a diamond ring he planned to give Akane.

:) Not leaving any surprises here, are you? Since it's just a prologue,
I'll cut you some slack. I hope you explain how he came to this
momentous decision, though.
