Sarah: shouldnt you be doing something productive at work?

Eric: sure, i'm writing some C&C replies

Sarah: i see you decided to put a flag on. though i think it should be

S&E

Siskel & Ebert?

Eric: i like it better this way, besides you're the figment

Sarah: uh huh, you need to fax something to CIE so go.

Eric: *grumbles as he leaves*

Sarah: hehe, well now i'll just change that flag.. heheh.. now i'm on
my
own so i'll start.

 Prologue: ER.

Sarah: paging noah wylie.

"Say, did you know that Dr. Ross is actually Batman? It's true!"

The woman in the emergency room was dying. Her broken body had

been patched up as well as possible, but her liver and spleen were
shattered, and no replacements were available. So she lay there as
the
heart monitors beeped away the last moments of her life and clutched
the
hand of the young man who knelt beside her.

Sarah: starting off on a positive note i see.

Eric: *walking back in from faxing* gah what happened to her?

Sarah: I'm guessing she got hit by a bus.

Eric: you're heartless. I see there's no liver replacements or
anything
available, she's probably poor. oh those things are only for rich
people. we all know the truth.. EVIL CONSPIRATORS YOU WILL PAY!

Sarah: how you going to do that?

Eric: umm got get em Sarah?

Sarah: hardly.

"Hidoshi," she whispered. Hidoshi leaned closer. He was about

seventeen years of age, and powerfully built.

Sarah: the stack of legos used in his creation were of the cement
variety.

"Mother," he said. "Tell me, Mother. Who was my father? I
must
know."

Eric: I am your father, join me and together we will the universe as
father and son.

A hand fluttered up and touched his cheek. "My son," she said.
"So
strong. So like a pig. I see him in you every day."

Sarah: well no more secrets as to who this woman is.

Eric: poor akari to end like this. where is Ryouga humm? I hope this
isnt his son.

Sarah: he's strong like a pig so he just might be.

     "Mother, please."

"He was so sad. So lonely. I gave him the best comfort I
could,
but I knew he had to go back to her. It was his honor. He was a
very
honorable man, your father."

Sarah: humm this is getting interesting, who did he have to back to?
and
if he got Akari here pregnant and skipped out he must not be that
honorable.

Eric: i'm imagining Ryouga better have a damn good excuse.

     "Mother, tell me."

"As honorable as a pig." Hidoshi rolled his eyes. Mom and her

pigs. "I couldn't tell him I was pregnant. It would have destroyed

him."

Eric: you never told him? tsk...

Sarah: even so how could Ryouga sleep with her and then leave?!

Eric: humph that bastard!

Her voice wavered, and Hidoshi leaned closer, alarmed. "His
name,
mother. I need his name."

Eric: Oh this is going to be sad i just know it.

Sarah: its only a story.

     "His name...."

     "Yes?"

    "Hibiki. Ryoga Hibiki."

Sarah: hah i saw that one coming a mile away

Eric: so did anyone else who read this.

Hidoshi leaned back, inhaling. His mother's hand fluttered
Sarah: well you'll never be the president of the united states you
inhaled!

again,
like a butterfly. "My son... you must promise me..." she coughed
weakly. "Promise..."

Eric: i wonder how old she is. it might be interesting to set a time
frame.

Twenty, maybe twenty-one years after the beginning of the manga (which,
for some weird reason, seems to take place during a single year). That
puts it shortly after the millennium.

The monitors shrieked as she slumped back. Nurses rushed in
and

Eric: do they normally shriek?

Sarah: i thought they just went with that monotone tone thing.
........

It's the future, remember? Monitors are now equipped with the Jamie Lee
Curtis chip.

Actually, it's a metaphor.

began working dutifully, with no real hope. Hidoshi stood back,
tears
filling his eyes.

Eric: of course they have no real hope, she's poor.

His father. The man who had ploughed his mother and abandoned
Eric: HE WHAT?!?!

Sarah: PLOUGHED?! PLOUGHED? PLOUGHED?

It goes with "seed."

Eric: PLOUGHED?! Thats the first time in my WHOLE life i have ever
heard of sex as ploughed and it seems awfully out of place here
considering the seriousness of the fic so far.

Mental note: No more extended metaphors.

Sarah: PLOUGHED?! maybe... maybe he meant it in the same sense that
Akari uses the word pig you know... farming terminology

<blink> Akari uses "pig" to mean sex?

Eric: maybe but, even so PLOUGHED?! if he wanted to keep with the pig
stuff he might have used the word rutted or something but PLOUGHED?

Eric: I knew it she was poor! How could she just never tell Ryouga,
it'll devestate him when he finds out.

Sarah: worse yet how could he sleep with her and never look back. I
mean Ryouga always walked the thin line on honor but hey that was a
horrible thing.

You'll see. Eventually.

his
mother's life, just as the drunken driver had destroyed her body.
And

Sarah: this is so sad!

Eric: i mean talk about living a hard life.

while the law would punish the driver, it was up to Hidoshi to
punish
his father.

Eric: i hope the driver ends up in hell!

Sarah: i'll be sure to send him there myself.

"Mother," he whispered. "Mother, I swear..." He raised a fist
to
the ceiling and roared. "I WILL PUNISH YOU, RYOGA HIBIKI!"

Eric: I see he inherited something from Ryouga.

Sarah: I hope he's well trained.

He is.

Doctors, nurses, and patients alike turned to glare at him as
he
strode purposefully into a supply closet.

Eric: hahah... great job, it broke the tension and was pretty
humourous.

Sarah: he certainly is Ryouga's son.

Eric: this has been great so far, but its also kinda short I'm looking

forward to the next part.

Sarah: checking the queue here it is btw, we'll see you on the other
side. *waves*

Eric: hey! who changed the tag...

Thanks for the response.
