Megane: It's TWO against ONE. You can't win.

Ryuunosuke: Not exactly.

(Megane and Perm turn to see Ryuunosuke standing behind them)

The camera show a letterbox format for a few moments as Shutaro and
Tsubame stand ready to fight.  Then the camera returns to normal as
Shutaro rushes Tsubame with his sword.)

(Mendou swipes at Tsubame only to find his sword has vanished from his
hands, Shutaro looks around wildly and then Tsubame pulls it out of his

(Tsubame slashes the sword at Shutaro.  Shutaro tries to dodge but gets

Tsubame: HOW DARE YOU HURT MY FINANCE!!!!!

Megane: Finance?  (looks at Ryuu and notices a ring on her finger) Oh
no! You didn't!

(Tsubame stalks Megane and drives him back toward the edge of the roof
with Mendou's sword)

Tsubame: NOW YOU....HIM..(GESTURES AT A HALF DEAD MENDOU).....SAKURA,
AND ALL THE REST OF YOU SHALL DIE!!!

Megane: (glancing over the edge with fear) You don't need to do this! 
You and Sakura can work it out!

Tsubame: NEVER!!! (raises the sword to kill Megane)

Sakura: TSUBAME.

(Tsubame spins around just in time to receive a gunshot wound in the
chest.  Tsubame stumbles and falls off the roof, and with a sickening
crunch, he hits the ground.  He twitches for a moment and then Tsubame
Ozuno calms down once and for all.)  

(Sakura lowers the shotgun, with smoke coming out of the barrel, a
single tear slowly runs down her cheek and she says in a choked
whisper.)

Sakura: The engagement is off.

(Megane rises to his feet) 

Megane: Sakura....Are you okay?

Sakura: I.....OH GOD WHY?

(Sakura sobs uncontrollably and Megane tries to comfort her.)

Megane: We'd better get some help for Shutaro.....

(Megane and Sakura walk over to Shutaro)

(Fade to Black)


EPILOGUE

(The scene opens in a graveyard) Ryuunosuke is walking through it,
carrying a bunch of flowers.  Her voice-over is heard as she continues
to walk through the graveyard.)

Ryuunosuke: (Voice-over)  It's been ten days since Tsubame died.  I
really miss him a lot...before he went crazy that is......It's hard to
believe what he did to all of us and all because of that son of a bitch
Moroboshi!  Thanks to Ataru's lies, Ami, Shinobu, Ran, Lum and me will
never be the same again!  Shutaro's still in the hospital from his
injuries, Onsen-Sensei....(gaze hardens) at least THAT pervert is
getting what he deserves!   Banned from teaching for life and under
arrest for the statuary rape of Ami and Ran.  It's all Ataru's fault and
they forgive him because he was under the power of the sake even though
he wasn't when he told the lie in the first place!!!      

(Ryuunosuke walks through the graveyard until she reaches Tsubame's
grave.  Ran, Ami and Shinobu are already standing there with their heads
bowed.)

Ryuunosuke: Why are you all here?

Ran: Paying respect to the dead.  Or should I say the BRAIN dead.

Ryuunosuke: (eyes burning with anger)  How dare you say that!  It was
all Moroboshi's fault!  If he hadn't told Tsubame that filthy lie.....

Shinobu:  (interrupting)  Tsubame still would have gone over the edge. 
Ataru did us all a favor by triggering it now BEFORE Sakura got married
to him.

Ryuunosuke: (eyes filling with tears) How can you be so fucking cold....

Ami: (looks sympathetic)  I hate to talk badly about the dead but
Tsubame was a disturbed person.  Even if Ataru hadn't said anything to
him, Tsubame would have eventually gone insane.  A normal person, not
even someone who feels their being cheated on, react by drugging
underage virgin schoolgirls to have sex with him to ease the pain.  Have
a affair with another WOMAN maybe, but not the way he did it.  

Shinobu: He had evil desires and used Moroboshi's lies as a excuse to
carry them out.  Tsubame WAS insane and it was only a matter of time. 
I'm sorry to be so blunt, but it's the plain and simple truth.  There
was nothing you could have done for him.  Rationally, Tsubame died a
long time ago.

Ryuunosuke: I can't believe that! (tears flowing) He...He was my best
friend......My only true friend.....(voice breaks with sobs) I......I
loved him.......

(Ryuunosuke cries hard and the girls held her while looking down at
Tsubame's grave, dispite their ordeal feeling a sense of loss....)


(Cut to Ataru's house.  Ataru and Lum are both watching TV  They both
look very uncomfortable and are on the verge of speaking several times
but then say nothing.  Lum finally says....

Lum: I guess it's not so easy to forget after all.....

Ataru: I know.......It all seems like a dream.

Lum: (starting to cry)  Oh Darling.....I'm so sorry.......I'm sorry I
couldn't give my virginity to you....

Ataru: Don't be......I was just as bad as you.  Neither of us had any
control.  No one is to blame except Tsubame and now he's gone for good.

Lum: I know.  I keep telling myself that......It just feels so
strange....Even though I hate him for what he's done....Part of me is
sad that he's gone....

Ataru: Thank god there was a cure for the (winces) sex sake.  You
know.....Two weeks ago I would have used sake like that to build a harem
but now......Now I know better.

Lum: (smiles a bit)  Does that mean you're going to stop girl chasing?

Ataru: Don't push your luck! (Lum frowns and Ataru quickly changes his
tune) Just kidding!

Lum: (frown disappears) Darling....You tease!

(Ataru and Lum kiss softly on the lips for a long moment and then....)

Lum: (eyes shining) Darling?

Ataru: Yes Lum?

Lum: Let us be one......now and forever.

Ataru: As you wish. (shudders as he remembers who last spoke THOSE
words) I mean.......Yes, I would love to.  

(Lum and Ataru embrace.)
