Hai...I agree with that whole heardley. I really miss the old Madoka and
Kyousuke designs, though I do like the new Hikaru one. Still the designs
weren't too bad and at least they didn't go for the Hyper Kawaii look or
the Tenchi look that has become all too common in anime today...(I like
the hyper Kawaii look...But I like Akemi Takada too...:)

  The character development  in Patlabor 2 was interesting.  Even though
Noa gets little air time, it appears that she has matured considerably.  I
missed Kanuka Clancy, but I can see how it would have been difficult to fit
her into the story.  So, does anyone think that Goto and Nagumo will ever
be more than friends?  Can they even really be friends?  Nagumo has a
professional respect for Goto, and she knows that Goto is attracted to her,
but it seemed as though Goto is Nagumo's friend, but Nagumo is Goto's
colleague.  

Depends on how cannon you think the 2nd movie is. At the end of the 2nd
movie I assumed Oshii put a knife through the Nagumo/Goto relationship,
and Goto seemed to recgonize this. However I really don't view the 2nd
movie has being cannon to the overall Patlabor time line simply becuase I
want Goto-san and Nagumo to get together and also I really didn't like the
fact that every one else in the SV2 was given such a minor role in the
movie (Unlike the first one where Goto still had a big role, but so did
Asuma for the first part and Noa had a big role near the end of the movie
with one of my favorite Mecha fights of all time...:). But then again
that's just my opinion...

Goto and Nagumo are friends though, and I think Nagumo trusts Goto more
than anyone else in SV2 (except maybe Sakaki-san). It's just the dynamics
of the relationship they have that often has Nagumo acting cold to Goto...

BTW...Does anyone know why Takeko Kumagami was left out of the 2nd movie?
I could see Kanuka being left out, but at the end of the 2nd OAV series
Kumagami-san was still an active part of the SV2....

That and I would of loved to see Gomioka-san in the movies...^^
