On the bit about high school, one cannot forget Ninja High, sure it
may not be an anime, but with such a rich tapestry of characters 
(read: crazy people) it would be an interesting read.  Salusians and 
Tenchi's bunch or Nerima martial artist and Ichi.  oh yeah Akane vs 
Ichi. heh 

Oh, yeah... I think Ichi would be way out of Akane's league and probably 
on a par with Ranma, Ryoga, etc (although she does have the ability to 
use hammerspace mallets just as well as Akane).  Ichi v Konatsu would be
interesting, though. Other NHS-Ranma stuff... maybe Sammi could try to 
win Ranma (so she wouldn't have to reveal that she was a girl), and a
Ranma-Akaru fight could be set up fairly easily (just make it Akane 
instead of Ichi who put that message in the bottle ten years ago).
