You do realize that you've basically told the story already.

To take the time to wrap it in fancy prose would be wasted since

Actually writing a story idea up in fancy prose even though the readers
already know how it's going to turn out is what plenty of us do.  Take
OneShot's "Ranma's Girls" fic.  You _know_ by the end of the second
chapter what's going to happen--at least I did--the question was how long

I don't think anyone could think otherwise. I'm sure people would know exactly
how the outcome of the story would be. That's why I focused more on exactly how
that outcome would be achieved. I guess it's how they get together that seems so
intriguing...I know, I just spoiled the entire story for everyone who haven't
read it, but then again, all they'd have to do is read a few chapters and you'll
know they'll end up together...

it was going to take OneShot to get there (this is _not_ a flame to
OneShot, in fact "Ranma's Girls" is one of my favorite fics...I just wish
he could write faster!).  Don't you ever reread stories?  The sense of

suspense and anticipation comes more from the author's skill rather than
the readers lack of knowledge.  This story could be an incredible insight
into Ryoga's life:  why he sleeps with Akane even though he knows it's
dishonorable, 

Perhaps the best way to explain it is that he wants attantion..I know, [pretty
cheesy...

why he attacks Ranma for turning him into P-chan when 1) it
was obviously an accident 2) it may not have been Ranma (all we have for
that is Ryoga's word and I don't know about you, but I trust that guy
about as far as I can throw him).  What does Ranma have to do to get Ryoga

Best way to think of it is he needs a purpose to continue on. It's like meeting
someone you really like. Even though you're almost possitive he/she don't like
you, you still want to believe that there might be some hoep, and thus you
continue on trying to get their attention rather than run away.

Ryoga, say, knows it was an accident...but if he acknowledges it, there's pretty
much no other reason for him to go on. But now that he has Akane, it is another
good reason to continue...

to agree?  Telling Akane wouldn't do any good, she wouldn't believe him,
and demonstrating is chancy at best (how would you get Akane and Ryoga in
the same room and beable to hit Ryoga with cold water?).  What would Ranma

I don't think Ryoga would ever reveal his curse to Akane. She means that much to
him. THe best thing I can think of is he had some VERY close calls where Akane
could had found out. Or that Akaen mentions how she'll never trust anyone again
if she finds out that P-chan was some cursed man.

But then again, she has herself to blame. She's had him for all this time and
never gave him a bath? And the only time P-chan did get a bath was with Ranma...

have to do to get Akane to believe him?  Remeber the soap incident?
Didn't Akane see Ryoga fall into the pond and _not_ change?  There's all
sorts of possiblities with this story, the end result isn't nearly as
important as the methods used to get there.

Whatever it would be, the story would definitely be dramatic and tension-filled.
Imagine Akane now having to treat P-chan like Ryoga. Or Ryoga having to do
anything but act like P-chan. And sooner or later, Ryoga will slip, adn Akane
would start putting the pieces together....




Akane:P-chan.

P-chan:(Thinking)I have to act differently. I'm not the supposed P-chan Akane
loves...

(P-chan scurries away instead of jumping into Akane's arms)

Akane:What's wrong?(Realizes something)Oh...P-chan's....dead.

(P-chan nods his head)

Akane:S-sorry, Ryoga. I-it's just that I.....(Realizes that tears are falling
from her eyes)



Poor Akane...Poor Ryoga ;)
