	Allow me to delurk for a moment, if I may.  I just wanted to 
comment on one Ryouga matchup I can't never recall seeing.  Not in 
fanfics, and almost no one ever mentions it.  I'm talking about 
Ryouga/Akane of course.  He loves her and worships her, so why haven't 
any writers written a story where he actually gets her?  Hey, if Richard 
Lawson can write a Ranma/Kodachi story, anything's possible!

	Well I can see several reasons why it's not often considered.
1. Tragedy: One of the things a lot of people likes about Ryouga is his 
relentless pursuit of a love which he knows on some level is not returned.
2. Difficulty: With most other matches you simply have to create a senario 
where the two characters fall in love.  Before you can do that with Ryouga 
you have to deal with:
	a. P-chan: The question of weather or not he peeps on Akane in pig 
form is irelevant, the simple fact is that he is constantly lying to Akane 
for the purpose of violating her privacy.  Also when she learns the truth 
she'll get mad at herself for not figuring it out and take it out on him.
	b. Ranma and Akane:  This pair's unspoken love is the central 
theme of the Manga and Anime.  And considering how many times they've gone 
through potential break up situations, it's clear that seperating them 
will take a fair ammount of Justification.
	c. Ryouga's ficle heart:  Ranma disguises himself as Ryouga's 
fiance, after geting affection for five minuites Ryouga's in love with 
her.  Just one example of Ryouga's tendancy to go after any female who 
acts affectionate toward him.
	Oh and I have seen a few Ryouga Akane match ups, they've just been 
writen in story's where Ranma either never falls in love with Akane or 
after Ranma is killed.  Nothing on a story diverging from the origional 
after Ryouga's appearance where Akane breaks up with Ranma and becomes 
romantically involved with Ryouga.
