Children of the Atom Bomb::by DR.Arata Osada

JAPANESE publisher : Iwanami shoten, 2-3
US publisher: G.P. Putman's Sons of NewYork
Simultaneously with canada under: Longmans Canada
1963
the following is the Publisher's note which will sum up this book.

_____

Here is a book written by children that is in no other sense a children's
book. Unique in the annals of social documentation, it is a direct translation
of accounts by children of Hiroshima who experienced the A-bomb.
These compositions, chosen from a total of more than 2,000, tell with the
artlessness of childhood and the honesty of youth how it feels to be hit by an
atom bomb; how home looks afterwards; how seemingly uninjured survivors are
carried of weeks later by radiation sickness. . .

_____

it takes accounts from those who were age 4- to about age 16 when it detonated.

Although highly depressing, it is powerful and devestating reading. I reccomend
it to anyone here who like Sci-Fi anime to get an idea of what war will really
be like in the future.

I reccomend it to Fanfiction authors who would tech themselves who to write
with the frontal truth that a child's tounge carries.
