I'm thinking of continuing my Shieldsman fic into Crystal Tokyo, but I
have some questions:
Uh-oh. Where's Zoe Tsukino when you need her? :-) Some spoilers for
the end of R in the manga here, by the way.
1) What do we KNOW about CT? Is it really a utopia or is that just
everyone's interpretation?
Interpretation. We know virtually nothing about CT, it's almost a blank
slate.
2) What do we know about the rest of the world?
Sod all.
3) Is that immortailty/1000year life span thing cannon? Or is it just
everyone's interpretation?
Well, they are around 1000 years later. How it's done, I've no idea.
The Crystal is as good a reason as any. And it's canon. One 'n'.
4) Are the Senshi's positions in CT known beforehand or all we all just
guessing?
Guessing. I haven't seen as much of the anime, but in the manga we
barely see the other senshi at *all*.
5) (kind of unrelated) Is it a fact that the Senshi's powers are drawn
>from their planets? Like was it 'said' somewhere?
??? It's certainly not a fact. They are supposed to be reincarnations
of the 'princesses' of the respective planets in the manga.
6) When was Chibi-Usa born? How old was she when the Black Moon Family
invaded?
Anime: About 8 years before the Black Moon War.
Manga: About 908 years before the Black Moon War. Her aging was arrested
due to certain vague things that Mamoru never really made clear.
I presonally think it's stupid; it's one of the few things I
changed from the manga for my story.
7) Speaking of SMR, was everyone killed in CT/the whole world?
In the manga, we see lots of corpses around when they arrive. Whether
they are resurrected or not, we don't know. Pluto is killed trying to
prevent the Crystals from touching (though she later reincarnated in
the 20th century. Don't ask me how it works or I'll start to whimper.)
As I said, you can do almost *anything* with CT. Try Hitoshi Doi's
page for a good anime view (which might contradict me; haven't seen the
R anime.)
