I had an idea a few months back that could link nicely with this.   I 
gave the author of the situation a peek...

Have no idea what Naussica is.  Seen it around, never got around to
reading it.  However, I can get what you are going at by your
description.  Sounds most interesting.  If you don't actually set it in
the Naussica world, I shall await reading it (if you do it).

	In the manga, he lectures Naussica about how futile it is to try 
and save the world.    As if he had tried himself.   
	So take a younger Nalmuth who still cares, willing to do anything to  
stop the Master of the Crypt.   Including using other relics of the 
ancients, like one that will send you to the past....(if it works 
right)....:)

Appears 12.   She can travel through dimensions, and may be doing so just 
to forget the pain.   Meets another traveller with an impossible, heroic 
mission....

 Y'know, there oughta be a good reason why he hates war and needless 
distruction.   Like maybe he used to be a mercenary.   And so what if he 
got a 
little intrepid during an assult on a city built on an ancient ruin...the 
assault Nalmuth is using to get to the relic...So the greatest swordsman 
of the Pirephery gets to come along for the ride.....(muggers of the 
multiverse beware!)
