Thunder's Hero(Note: I want a new title for this fic, since I don't like
this one. Anyone have any ideas?)
by David A. Tatum
Disclaimer: Ranma 1/2 obviously does not belong to me, but I do ask its
creator, Rumiko Takahashi, and anyone else who owns the copyright on it,
that they not sue me for what I feel is simple tribute to the fabulous
world they have created. The song lyrics I include also do not belong to
me, but, even though I may know who performed them, I'm not certain if that
is the same person who wrote them... furthermore, since I stole the song
lyrics off of some T.V. shows I was watching recently, I'm not even certain
if I really know who originally performed them, anyways. If you do decide
to sue me, realize I'm a third year college student who is a journalism
major and a creative writing minor- so I'm a broke kid with no real
prospects for employment....
Author's notes (warning-spoilers): Well, here I go again. Only two days
after sending out the second and final part of The Journey of Soun, I got
bored and, still stuck with the Big Guy (as I've nicknamed my 50+ pages at
1/3 finished fic), decided to write ANOTHER prequel to it. (After I
finished this, the Big Guy is now 60+ pages, and I'm working on one or two
(I haven't decided if the second should fit into this sequence or not)
other prequels and two or three other Ranma fanfics). This one will
explain, to some extent, how the relationship that I give Kuno, Nabiki, and
Kinnosuke in the Big Guy started, even though I don't develop it much in
that story (its just a plot device there). Yeah, I know pairing the two of
them up is commonplace, but honestly who else would be a good choice to
match up with Kuno? Oh, and on a note on Nabiki's calendar is a note of a
meeting with 'Mr. D.' As I said in 'The Journey of Soun,' I do try to
include a character named Desaix in all of my stories. Well, assume 'Mr.
D.' is Desaix, and so he has his cameo...
(non-spoilers)- C&C is desperately asked for. I don't edit my works- I
don't even do a full spellcheck- before I post them (or hand them to my
editor, but I don't know anyone personally who knows Ranma well enough to
edit these) and so the ONLY way I will figure out what I've done wrong is
for you to tell me. My apologies if some of the people in here are out of
character- its the best I can do. I'm relying on other fanfics and
SUMMARIES of manga translations (along with whatever I can glean from the
dubbed anime that I have) for some of the characters in here, and I'm not
enough of a humorist to keep the others in character ALL of the time. This
is my second released (to the FFML) fanfic, though I do have another rather
large fic I'm working on, and three (make that four, now that my girlfriend
is insisting that I write one using a character of her creation in a
fanfic. As soon as I get all the cultural information I need (namely the
heirarchy of the modern Shinto religon), that one will be my first
priority, so I decided to finish this one so that I would STILL only be
working on 5 fanfics at once...)
Chronological Note: This takes place in Nerima when most of the Ranma Gang
is in Jusendou (shortly after Akane arrived in China, I'd guess)
Here you go... Enjoy!
-----------------------------------
An adult-looking Hinako put away her coin, looking at the carnage. All of
the delinquents were too weak to stand, and a couple of them just floated
away. Well, most of them were too weak to stand. A battered man stood up
slowly, starred harshly at Hinako, and moved over to pick up the fallen
body of another, smaller man, dressed up like a ninja.
"Call an ambulance- now!" Kuno ordered, holding the broken body of his
servant Sasuke. Hinako, seeing the blood seeping out of the wounds of the
little ninja, went pale and ran to do just that.
* * * * *
"Good morning, Nabiki," Kasumi called as her somewhat disheveled sister
plopped down in front of the table to eat. "I'm afraid it will be just you
and me again for breakfast this morning- father still hasn't left his room
since Akane disappeared." Nabiki nodded. She'd expected as much, but it
didn't really concern her. Her father always went through these tantrums,
and there wasn't anything she or anyone else could do about it. "Oh, and
this arrived for you last night!" Kasumi handed a letter folded up and
sealed with an arrow.
Nabiki pulled the note off of the arrow, and checked to make sure Kuno had
actually sent it to her and not to his 'Pig-tailed Goddess' or his 'Diana
on the Hunt,' and opened it. She was a little stunned as to its brevity.
"Nabiki Tendo-
You have informed me that both Akane and the Pig-tailed One are overseas.
If this is not true, then I earnestly desire the pleasure of their company
over at my estate. If it is true, however, then beggars cannot be
choosers. I would request, at your earliest convenience, that you grant me
the honor of your presence (and from here the writing got a blurred and
smudged) for the purpose of giving me a sympathetic ear. I will pay twice
the usual rate, if necessary. Sincerely, Kuno"
'Hmm,' Nabiki thought. 'A minimum of poetry, tear stains, just his last
name as a signature with no pretentious nickname, VOLUNTEERING to pay
double, and all he wants is a sympathetic ear? Talk about a golden
opportunity.' Grabbing a cup of tea and a piece of toast, she ran
upstairs. Noting that her desk calender was blank for the day, she smiled
and tore the sheet to reveal a note which said 'teleconference with Mr. D.-
3:00 p.m.' on the next day. 'Nothing to do today, and nothing until late
tomorrow either. If I decide to go right now, at double my standard rate
of 2000 yen an hour, I can potentially earn about 100,000 yen before my
next meeting.' Quickly brushing her hair and changing, she grabbed her
tape recorder, her rate meter, her purse, and her calculator, and ran
downstairs.
"Bye, Kasumi," she said as she raced out the door. "I'm heading over to
Kuno's house. If I'm not back in time for dinner, hold something for me."
"Oh, my!" Kasumi said, and leaned out the door to call after her "Don't
take the poor boy for too much, now, Nabiki!"
"Oh, don't worry, Kasumi!" Nabiki shouted over her shoulder. "It wouldn't
be good business sense to drain your biggest customer for more than he can
afford!" And then she was gone.
* * * * *
Kinnosuke, puppet in hand, stared at the only photo of Nabiki he hadn't
sold. It was old and tattered (the main reason it remained in his
possession) but that didn't diminish it's quality. He sighed. 'She and I
truly would be a remarkable team.' He sighed. 'At times, I believe my
feelings for her rival my desire for money, and at other times I believe my
feelings for her are CAUSED by my desire for money. Either way, perhaps it
is time I returned to Nerima and negotiated a merger- uh, marriage- with
her.' With that, he smiled, and picked up the phone. Time to call in some
favors...

Bob Fredrickson, and American living in Tokyo, really was disinterested in
the life outside his home. His job forced him to live overseas, which
meant that he lived apart from most of the people who he knew. The
doorbell to his (rather extravagent, for Tokyo, but tiny compared to what
he was used to) house, and he walked over and opened the door. When he saw
what the mailman had for him, he shouted in joy. The final piece to his
entertainment system had arrived...
* * * * *
Soon, Nabiki had reached the door of the Kuno mansion and rang the
doorbell. She was shocked when Kuno himself opened the door- normally he
made Sazuki or another of his servants do that. She was also shocked at
Kuno's appearance- his hair looked even more displaced than usual, there
were dark circles under his bloodshot eyes, and his clothing was torn and
displaced. 'Hmm, probably just distressed that he cannot see Akane or his
'Pigtailed Goddess,' Nabiki reasoned. She didn't realize it, but her usual
businesslike facade had just visibly cracked for an instant when she first
saw him. Kuno, however, ignored it, not really seeing anything clearly.
Nabiki, however, decided to not bother using her tape recorder. Any
blackmail attempt from this meeting would be potentially destructive to
future business arrangements with the guy- or at least that's what she told
herself.
"Ah, Nabiki Tendo. It is wise of you to accept my summons-." Suddenly,
Kuno cut himself off. "Bah, I am not in the mood for polite discourse.
Thank you for coming, Nabiki." He gestured to her, and after she entered
the building he closed the door behind the two of them and led her to his
dining room. Only a few light snacks- pre-packaged mostly- were lying
around, but Nabiki just shrugged at a bare table which usually was covered
with a veritable feast. She pulled out her meter and set it on the table,
clicking a button on the top.
"Okay, Kuno-baby. Meter's running. Go ahead and spill your guts." She
smiled the smile she usually had when she knew money was going to by
flowing her way, and prepared to be bored. Kuno rarely had anything
remotely interesting to say.
"Have I always been such a joke to the world, Nabiki?" Kuno asked, taking
his head in his hands. Nabiki blinked. "All my life, I have known that my
one skill has been Kendo. I succeed in academics, it is true, but that is
largely due to your expensive assistance. I have few peers when it comes
to public speaking, but what I say rarely makes sense to my audience. I
can sail a boat- but you know how limited my skill is in that area. No,
the only thing I have ever truly done well is Kendo. Or so I have thought-
until recently. For recently, my skill at Kendo failed me, and it hurt
someone who has been the closest thing I have to a sane family member."
Kuno paused, uncertain how to continue.
Nabiki frowned. "Who is that?"
Kuno looked at her. "Sazuki, my servant and family ninja, and I were set
upon by brigands, and he leaped to my aid." Nabiki nodded slowly. Since
Ranma had left for China to help that Plum girl, the criminals had started
descending upon Nerima with greater force. "He was knocked away, and I
stood in front of him to protect him while he recovered, but the thugs just
laughed at me, and I was soon disarmed and unconscious. I recovered to see
Sazuki being beaten and pummeled, and ran to his aid, pulling out a spare
bokken, but the ruffians deflected all of my attacks. The only thing which
saved us was the arrival of our fair teacher, Ms. Hinako, but her attack
nearly killed Sazuki in his already weakened condition. He's now in a coma
in Nerima General." Nabiki gasped. She knew Sazuki very well- he was one
of her informants and was fairly decent with a camera. And he worked for
little more than some kind words and the chance to bask in the kindness her
family offered to people who were not a part of it- or a psuedo-part, as
Ranma, Genma, Happosai, and Ryouga had become. "Since it is obvious," Kuno
continued slowly, "That I am an incompetent Kendo master, I have nothing.
So I ask you again, Nabiki, have I always been such a joke?"
Nabiki stared at Kuno, unsure of what to say. For a brief instant, she
wanted to be blunt about it and say yes, but for some reason she didn't.
For some reason, she felt that now was not the right time for her usual
teasing. 'I'm probably just shocked; Sazuki was one of my better sources-
of course this news would surprise me....' Nabiki frowned. She was being
paid for this, too, so she might as well try to bring Kuno's spirits up a
bit- after all, if she was successful, maybe she could get him to pay for
this service more often. In fact, as a goodwill offer, maybe she should...
Nabiki reached over and turned off her time meter. "Meter's off,
Kuno-baby. This ain't the time to charge you for this kind of thing."
'Just a goodwill offer,' she thought. 'No real sympathy here,' she tried
to tell herself. She winced internally. 'Why do I feel the need to
explain myself?' She shook her head to clear her mind, and turned back to
Kuno. "And yes, you have, to some small extent, been a joke. But only a
little- because you don't give up when you're overmatched. You're well
respected for your Kendo abilities- only about a dozen people in Nerima can
match you one on one, and most of those are the people who want to either
kill or to marry Ranma. And you keep forgetting what century you live in.
And you have such a pathetic technique when it comes to women. And you
make such foolish speeches. And-"
"ENOUGH!" Kuno cried. "I get the idea. My fighting ability is merely
above average, and everything else about me is laughable."
Nabiki realized what she had said, and squirmed a bit. She was not doing
her usual good job. "Um... well, at least you are the sanest member of
your family..."
Kuno closed his eyes. He trembled, and Nabiki looked at him in fear. 'Why
does he look so... pained? Oh, don't act oblivious like Kasumi, Nabiki,'
she told herself. 'You know perfectly well why he looks so hurt- he called
you to help him feel better, and you do nothing but insult him.' She
paused for a moment. 'Why does that sound so familiar?'
"Get out, Nabiki Tendo," Kuno said sternly, not opening his eyes but
gesturing towards the door. "I have changed my mind. Talking to no one is
better than talking to you."
"Kuno, I'm..." Nabiki started. 'What am I going to say?' she thought.
She shook her head sadly. 'Well, I sure botched this job.' She turned and
left in the direction Kuno was pointing, picking her equipment up as she
left.
* * * * *
"Oh, hello, Mr. Kinnosuke," Kasumi said. "Can I help you?"
Kinnosuke looked at his puppet for a second, before turning to Kasumi and
saying "Yes, you can, if you know where your sister, Nabiki, is."
Kasumi smiled. "Oh, of course. Well, she went over to the Kuno estate for
some kind of business deal, I think..."
Kinnosuke smirked. "Of course," he said. "Well, I think I'll head over
there and surprise her..."
* * * * *
Nabiki wandered aimlessly, looking in confusion at her feet. 'I've had
such business failures before. Why does this one hurt so?' She sighed.
'I'm probably just a little worried about Sasuke, that's all.' She knew
that wasn't true- she'd barely thought about Sasuke- but the only
alternative was... 'He looked so pained. How badly did I hurt him?' a very
tiny part of her brain was wondering, unheard by the rest of her. The rest
of her was so lost in thought that she didn't noticed the grey cloaked man
walking towards her.
"Hello, ma'am," the man said, as some gaijin music started blaring from a
nearby window. "Can you spare a few yen for a poor man who needs to buy
some food?"
Nabiki quickly snapped into her old self. "Me? Give someone else money?
For NOTHING? What do you take me for?"
The man drew a well-worn kitana from his robes and slipped the cloak off of
him, revealing a grey sweatsuit. "I take you for someone who has no
choice!" Nabiki's eyes widened. "Oh, you're cute. Maybe we'll have a
little fun before I cut my money out of your hide!" Nabiki screamed. 'Oh
my gods...'
* * * * *
Bob Fredrickson smiled. Finally, he could start watching television
programs spoken in a language he could understand. He flipped on a
television program playing a very familiar song, which he'd heard in a
variety of American shows. 'Ah,' he thought. 'This is the life!'
He raised the volume.
"Where've all the good men gone,
And where are all the gods?
Where's the streetwise hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Racing with the thunder,
And rising with the heat,
Its going to take a super man
To sweep me off my feet!
I need a hero.
I'm holding on for a hero till the end of the night
And he's gotta be strong,
And he's gotta be fast,
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero..."
Unbeknownst to Bob Fredrickson, a women on the street outside his window
screamed for the second time.
* * * * *
"Oh, I wouldn't scream, little girl. No-one can help you- I've been able
to outfight everyone I've ever met, and I think that most of the good
fighters from this district have left on some kind of trip, so why don't
you stay quiet and maybe you can enjoy some of this?" The man slowly slid
his kitana across the front of Nabiki's blouse, tearing it open to reveal
her bra. 'I can't believe that he's doing this in broad daylight!' Nabiki
thought, and then the reality of the situation hit her and she started to
scream again before her attacker rested the tip of his sword right under
her chin. She closed her eyes, waiting for whatever this man was going to
do to her. The music that was coming from the window ended, cut off
suddenly. (inside, Bob Fredrickson started changing channels)
"Release that woman now, or I shall smite thee!" A voice came from behind
her. The sword moved away from her throat and she opened her eyes, and
turned to look at the person speaking in disbelief. It sure sounded like
his voice, and his words, but because of the lack of a five minute
introductory speech, Nabiki couldn't believe that Kuno was the one trying
to save her until she saw it with her own eyes. But there he was, holding
one of his wooden bokkens, challenging the man in grey. Despite his
fighting stance, however, he still didn't look himself.
"Oh?" The man asked. "And who are you to order me around?" Nabiki looked
around to see if she could run away, but saw no route of escape. That
didn't stop her from trying to slowly step backwards.
Kuno stood up straighter, and appeared for a second to become his old self
again. "I am the ris..." He slumped back down again. "I... am Tatewaki
Kuno." 'Dammit, Kuno!' Nabiki thought. 'Now isn't the time to take what I
said to heart. I need you to be your best fighting self!' Then she
winced, realized that it was her fault that Kuno was acting this way. Kuno
ran at the man in grey, attacking him furiously. Nabiki started to back
away faster.
"Well, Tatewaki Kuno, I am Fuji Tanaka, the greatest swordsmaster in
history, and you are about to die!" Suddenly, the steel kitana glowed blue
and spun faster than the eye could see- before releasing a whirlwind ki
blast as Tanaka shouted "Fiery Downspurt!" Kuno blocked with his bokken,
and was blown back ten feet into a wall, which promptly shattered and fell
on top of him. His bokken had snapped at the hilt, and the other piece was
buried underneath the rocks. Kuno looked at Nabiki, who had started making
a bolt for it, and smiled. 'At least she'll get away,' he thought.
But he was wrong. Tanaka turned his attention away from Kuno to stop
Nabiki from escaping, and grabbed her by her hair. Again, she screamed.
Kuno pulled a new sword out of his clothing, and pulled himself out of the
rubble. He had only used this sword once before. As the sword appeared
from out of his clothing, some more gaijin music filtered out from a
window...
* * * * *
Bob Fredrickson flipped through a couple of channels, before settling on
the credits of one of his favorite shows. He smiled complacently as the
lyrics entered his ears.
"I am immortal,
I have inside me the blood of kings.
I have no rival,
no man can be my equal-"
He quickly cut it off as he thought he heard the sound of metal clanging
against metal, and ran to his window to look outside.
* * * * *
The words 'Shooting Star' were embossed in gold upon the blade of the
kitana Kuno wielded. He did not even remember the only time he had used it
before. In fact, there had been only one witness that time- Akane Tendo.
Shortly before Ranma showed up in Nerima, Akane and Nabiki had been out
shopping (Akane was buying a new yellow gi, but needed to borrow Nabiki's
money to do it) when, like now, they had been attacked. They were both hit
from behind by a couple of muggers. Nabiki dropped like a rock, and Akane
fell dizzily against a nearby wall. She couldn't stand up very easily with
the concussion she had, and so slumped down to the ground. But she was in
the perfect place to see Kuno come across the two of them. She was
surprised to note that Kuno's anger at seeing Nabiki injured (and not her-
she had rolled into an alleyway to try to escape before he arrived, and was
hidden from his view) drove him into being one of the most powerful
fighters she had ever seen- his new style of fighting as powerful, she
would later believe, as the catfist, with just the same sort of trigger.
When he had (messily) disposed of the two attackers, he seemed to not
realize what he had done, and was unaware he had done it, the same way the
catfist had effected Ranma.
Kuno blanked out into such a state again when Fuji Tanaka struck Nabiki
with the (flat) of his blade, knocking her down and apparently out, just as
Kuno arose from the debris of the wall he had fallen into. "NABIKI!
NOOOOOOOOOO!" He cried terrifyingly, and charged at Tanaka, who also
charged back at Kuno.
Nabiki, however, wasn't knocked out, but was merely faking it. She opened
her eyes to see if she could once more try and run for it, but couldn't
move because she was so impressed with the action she saw.
Kuno was raining blow upon blow at Tanaka, and Tanaka was barely able to
block them. When the swords connected, a spark of electricity, resembling
blue lightning, danced from the point the two swords touched and into
Tanaka. As Kuno set his sword flying, he shouted "How... DARE... you...
harm... the... one... person... in... this... world... who... I... LOVE!"
Nabiki was stunned. 'He loves me? Since when? He's always said he hates
me. He's in love with Akane and Ranma-chan. He must have hit his head
into the wall hard enough to make him think that I'm Akane or something...'
Kuno sent a mighty blow which sent Tanaka flying back. He then paused his
attack in order to speak. "Yes, I love that woman you attacked. Oh, sure,
if you were to ask anyone on the street, they would say I was obsessed with
her sister, or with her sister's fiancee when he looks like a female, but
that is just a cover. I do not want her to know I love her, and so I hide
behind those two, not letting her know how I feel. It is hard enough to
do, knowing the ridicule that this forces me to endure, but I bear it. And
why not? For I am Tatewaki Kuno, undefeated captain of the Kendo Club, THE
BLUE THUNDER OF FURINKEN HIGH! In order to keep Nabiki from the insanity
which is my family, I will endure all! And in order to protect her from
the likes of you, I am truely willing to kill!"
Nabiki felt dizzy. 'When did this happen?' She thought to herself. 'I
never knew..." She then fainted.
Kuno struck time after time at Fuji Tanaka, while Tanaka tried repeatedly
to blast Kuno with another Fiery Downspurt. As Kuno's sword slashed
through and destroyed every one of the ki attacks, Tanaka soon realized
that he was overmatched. He valiantly tried to block another couple of
Kuno's strikes, but one hit his sword at such an angle that his sword
shattered. Tanaka bowed his head as Kuno delivered the death blow, saying
the exact same words he had said to Nabiki and Akane's earlier attackers, a
little more than a year beforehand.
"Revenge is a dish that is best served cold. The Shooting Star's steel is
VERY cold." With that, Kuno beheaded Tanaka.
* * * * *
Bob Fredrickson watched the swordfight from his room. When Kuno beheaded
Tanaka, Bob closed his window and turned to look at his television.
"I must be imagining things... maybe I've been watching a little too much
television recently..." Bob said to himself. He walked over to his
entertainment center, and began unhooking the cables to his satellite dish.
"I think I'll send this thing back..."
* * * * *
Nabiki woke up in her own room to Kasumi's worried face. "Wha... what
happened?" Nabiki asked hoarsely. Kasumi smiled.
"Ah, good, you're awake. Kuno brought you here a few minutes ago and said
that he found you passed out on the street. What happened?"
"Um, I'm not sure." Nabiki said. 'Did I dream about what happened in the
fight? And about what Kuno said?' "Is Kuno still here?"
Kasumi smiled again. "He left, but he said he'd be back to check on you in
about an hour."
"Thanks, Kasumi," Nabiki said. Looking around, she said "I think I want to
freshen up a bit. Can you excuse me for a minute?"
Kasumi nodded and left. Nabiki started to change out of her torn clothing.
'Well, these tears make it pretty easy to see that I wasn't dreaming about
the fight. But I must have been dreaming about what Kuno said during that
fight. He's too obviously obsessed with Ranma and Akane to be faking
it...' She heard a click come from her purse. Curious, Nabiki looked in
it and found that the only thing which could have made that click was her
tape recorder, wound to the end. Curious, Nabiki rewound it about halfway
and pressed play.
"...or with her sister's fiancee, when he looks like a female-" Nabiki
snapped it off right then. So his speech wasn't a dream, after all. He
really was in love with her. And, because her tape recorder had been
knocked on in the middle of the fight, she now could prove it to him.
'Hmm,' Nabiki thought. 'Kuno's in love with me... and he saved my life...
and he's not the ditz everyone thinks he is....' Nabiki smiled
mischievously. 'And he's rich, too. I suppose....' Her smile fell into a
little more serious expression. 'I suppose that I kind of like him too. I
mean, I do take care of him when he's hurt, and I don't charge him for it
either....' And then her smile reappeared. 'I think I'll confront him
with this bit of knowledge. But not right now.' Her smile grew some more.
'In fact, if I can get Ranma and Akane married, and can get some photos of
Akane in her wedding dress to sell to Kuno before I confront him, then
maybe I can afford to live on my own for a while... which means I could
date him without daddy's interference. Yeah, now all I need to do is to
convince daddy to marry the two of them now rather than later...'
"NABIKI!" Kasumi's voice cried from downstairs. "Kuno's here. He wants
to know how you're feeling!" Nabiki smiled. 'But first...'
Nabiki rushed downstairs to look at Kuno, for the first time, as a
potential boyfriend, and liked what she saw. But she couldn't let anything
on to him yet. Still...
"Hey, Kuno. Thanks for taking care of me. Come on, let's go."
Kuno stared at her as she grabbed him and started dragging him out of the
dojo. "Nabiki Tendo, I am very pleased to see that you have awakened and
regained your strength, but I must know... where are you taking me?"
Nabiki smiled. "YOU are taking ME to the hospital. YOU want to visit
Sasuki, remember?"
Kuno blinked. "Uh..." Nabiki yanked him along, and Kuno decided to just
ignore whatever had come over Nabiki all of a sudden, and go and visit his
old and trusted servant.
* * * * *
Kinnosuke wiped the first real tears in a long time- tears of jealousy-
away from his eyes. How could he compete with a fighter like Kuno who was
as dedicated as that?
"Wait a minute!" Kinnosuke said. "I don't need to compete with him! I
know someone who can defeat him very easily, and he wanted to buy some
information on him and the other troublesome martial artists of the area,
too. Now, where is that phone number..."
Until the Big Guy rears it's oversized head, this is...
The End.

Authors Closing Notes:
(Yawn) Finally- I started this several weeks ago, and I stopped about
halfway through. Then I started another one, then another one, then
another one... Now I've finally finished one, so that I'll only be working
on 5 fanfics at once, and this was the one which I could finish the
fastest. I apologize if parts of it don't make much sense, or if I made
stupid errors- most of it has been written between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the
morning a couple of days... Anyway, C&C is asked for, or at least an
acknoledgement that you read it. If you want my other completed fanfic,
entitled 'The Journey of Soun,' e-mail me (though I do plan to put these on
my web site when I finish a third fanfic- 3 seems the right number to start
up a side page...) and I'll send you a copy.
