Is it?  I'm not so sure about that. 
How many times are there LASTING impressions and lessons learned?
I certainly can't think of any; Ranma's thoughtlessness towards Akane is
one of the main themes of the series.

The problem I have with SM is not that the characters' thoughtless "I'm
good, my opponents are evil" attitude. It's the fact that the SM
universe bears out these attitudes; that, in canonical SM, there ARE
"good" people and "evil" people -- unlike real life.

But that is presented elsewhere.  Certainly, in BGC, it seems to me that,
by and large, the 'heroes' are presented as 'good' and knowing they're
good, and GENOM and the Boomers as bad; Sylvie and Anri are definite
exceptions, and I'm not even sure that the KS consider them Boomers.  

As for SM... maybe perhaps you're not quite looking close enough? 
As far as I know, at least -one- 'evil' person isn't presented as
fully evil; my information may be wrong on that.

Also, a quick 'gomen' for double-posting. 

Certainly the same isn't true in Ranma, considering how strongly some
characters are liked by some and disliked by others.
