 Doesn't Diana (Luna and Artemis's Daughter replace Pluto as gurdian of
the Gate (s) for some time? and if so how? I mean I realize she is a
special sort of cat but I just can't see her using the Time Key....

Is it possible that Diana fills in some of this gap?
 Also, isnt't Pluto of the lineage of Cronos? Could an "alternate" time
guardian taken her place...say someone whose reality no longer had an need
of someone to mark the ages....a la C.S. Lewis in the Magicians' Nephew
and The Last Battle ("Sleeping" Chronos appearing in the Silver Chair)

When did Senshi Pluto show up in the Silver Millenium? Has there always

	Honestly, this is one of the greater mysteries of Sailor Moon. Pluto.
Where did she come from, when, why, and how?  I consider her the ultimate
in freedom for development, which is why she appears in every one of my
fanfics.

SPOILERS!! for the Sailor moon manga, especially the end of R (Volume 7).














Thinking of Pluto's history, especially in the manga timeline, gives me
a headache.  OK, at the end of the Sailor Moon R manga, she dies, right?
Then Serenity reincarnates her in the 20th Century as Setsuna Meiou.
When Setsuna reawakens to her powers at the end of Manga 8, she seems
to have her memories of Crystal Tokyo.  That's fine, she is Pluto, see
all, be all, etc.

So, she then lives and dies with the other senshi through the rest of 
the manga, and presumably is there when CT is created.  Who's guarding
the time gate at this point?  The answer is presumable the Pluto who
died in SMR.  Therefore there are two Plutos existing at the same time.
Either that, or the Pluto who dies at the end of SMR *is* Setsuna, and
therefore when Serenity sends her back to the 20th Century, she creates
a sort of Pluto time loop, with Pluto going from 20th to 30th centuries
and back.

This also begs the question of who's taking Pluto's place in CT after
her death?  I decided that, even though Pluto had been reincarnated in
the 20th century, there still needed to be a Pluto in CT, so I reincarnated
her again.  This ended up giving me even more headaches...

The obvious solution, of course, is to use the anime timeline, where
she doesn't die at the end of R.  But since the end of R in the manga
is one of the most beautiful scenes ever, I refused. :-)
