Well, I've always found the "we killed it cause it was evil" excuse to

Personally, I'm sympathizing very much with your 'bad guy'.  Being queen of
the world is nice...  if you're the queen.  I can just imagine what it's like
for some poor guy in Kansas who has to pay taxes to some blonde in Tokyo who
still hasn't learned to write her own language after a thousand years.

Yes, considering that a planet(moon) was colonised by people who wouldn't
accept Serenity's rule, there had to be people out there who disliked, or 
even hated her.

I just wanted to have a character who could be wanting to kill Serenity with
all his soul, and yet not be easily dismissed by readers as "Oh, he's just
a bad guy."
