Anybody out there know anything about
general lucky and unlucky numbers in
Japan? I need to know what they are.
(i.e. 13 in the US being unlucky?)

4 is considered an unlucky number in Japan. The reason? Well, there are two
ways to write "four". The most commonly used writing is "yon". However, the
old writing for four is "shi", which also means "death".
