I was wondering somethign in spite of
what is in the FFML FAQ.

What format do you people prefer in
receiving fics? Would you rather
receive your fanfics directly in the
message text itself or as an attachment?

To get to the heart of the matter, do any
of you mind if you get the fics as an
attachment?

The problem with attachments is that about half the time, they do not
work for me. If they _always_ worked, it would be fine, I guess ....

BUT ... if I find some C&C to give to the author, having an attachment
really sucks.

You can't just hit 'r' and have the text quoted, so you have to go into
a program/OS that will let you cut and paste.

Whenever I read 'fics, I'm on a PC, logging onto my UNIX shell, using
Telix.

The only program that I can use to cut and paste, without a lot of
fiddling around, is 'markit', which locks up the computer half the time.
:p

So, basically ...... attachments are find just to read, IF they work
(which there is no guarantee of them doing). But if you want to give
C&C, they suck.

At least, for me.
