OK, here's a weird question for you:
By the time the Holy Grail appears in Sailor Moon S, how many times
have the Inner Senshi died? It was once in the original series and then
once in SM-R, right? (not including the taking of heart crystals)

Hah! Whats death to an inner senshi? Just a glitch in an otherwise
ordinary day.
Still, you'd think repeated deaths would have a psychological effect on
those who suffer it.

Does anyone here remember the first great (in size, if not quality)
Marvel Crossovers, Secret Wars I & II?
In the second one, the near-omnipotent Beyonder casually destroys, and
later just as casually re-creates, the junior X-group, the New Mutants
(now known as X-Force).
An aftermath issue of that group's comic dealt with the devastation that
occured in the kids at being manhandled so--Extreme lethargy and apathy,
almost on a pathological scale. They go through the motions, but there
is no life there at all. Probably one of the better ``reincarnations''
I've seen.

I don't think Sailormoon is made for lethargic characterisations. But it
would be nice if someone wrote a fanfic about the senshi mulling
psychologically over what they have lost during their spells of death....
Surely their minds and souls can't have returned completely intact. After
all, if I had died and been brought back to life, I'm quite sure I'd look
at things in a whole new way.
