C&C Welcome. I'd appreciate your ideas.
Special Thanks to Joe Palmer.
Looking out of the window, a girl of small frame and round glasses sighed
softly. The window overlooked a great deal of terrain that expanded below.
Mostly, all she could see was the train rout cutting its way through the
residential part of town, but beyond it was a very thick wooded area untouched
by the developers. She appreciated how rare it was to find such thick greenery
anywhere in Japan, let alone so close to the city.
She watched the houses stand in silence of the weekend evening, their only
day to know peace in the busy life of man. Each one breathed its own life into
the community, of which she was shortly about to become a part of. Her and her
family had just moved to the area, sighting a rather newly renovated two story
town house. They had moved into the west side, and the east side was still
vacant.
Her breath escaped her lips softly. She had left the townhouse to take a
break from the stress moving and her family had placed on her and had come to
this restaraunt overlooking the town. Her clothing of long skirt and smal
tank-top tucked in hung down her frame as she stood tall in front of the window.
She would only have a few days before the summer break ended and she would goto
the ninth grade of the junior high school, Karumai. She smiled at the though of
being the Sempai finally, and smiled again at the tought of her younger brother
just now reaching seventh grade.
She sighed again. The move was forced on them, a situation having developed
that prevented her and her family from remaining in the town any longer. The
gossip and the talk had made her paranoid, so much so that she came into this
particular restaraunt only because it was practically empty, save for the burly
woman with the atoms apple behind the counter. She smiled quite warmly when she
walked in, but after that, she had spent nearly an hour simply standing at the
window and gazing out. She didn't even know the name of the restaraunt, or what
kind of food it served. Every time she went somewhere, she felt like she was
always being leered at by others around her. She felt surprisingly calm here,
knowing the woman was washing dishes, not eyeing her suspisciously.
She suspected she would be returning here often, as her smile widened.
