Plus, we don't know whether or not 'Japanese culture' of today applies to

way or another, of the religious leanings of the BGC characters? (This is
an honest question; I can't think of any, but I may be wrong.)

I'll attempt to answer this, attempt being a key word since religion and
Japanese culture haven't really been fully touched on in BGC yet (it would
be nice if the TV series touched them...). IIRC the RPG book stated that
while some Japanese festivals are still being observered today, there is a
drop in the faith of alot of the Japanese people (or I read it like
that...It may just be an intrepratation...). Going back evenb further to
the AD Police File 1, they did pop in on a Shinto temple but it wasn't
really used for the Religion (having instead a Boomer Otaku in there...).
>From these statements I'll assume that the Shinto or Buddist religions and
practice's are not as common as they are today, and may have even under
gone a sharp decline in the 30+ years since the end of the millenium....

Which does lead to some intresting story ideas, since Japan is still a
very spirtual country (more spirtual than other devloped countires). If
one is intrested in the more horror story aspect of BGC, why not let a
demon lose on Mega Tokyo (or Japan in general). Or try to have Quincy take
advantge of the spirtual side by channeling the power of demons. Or in the
none spirtual side, but still in Japanese culture, you can always looked
at what happened to the Ninja culutre in Japan. After all a boomer is so
much easier to have around as a Ninja....

But these are just more thoughts...And more random ramblings...:)

Just some thoughts. :)
